Thepreheattemperatureis350*,whichafterdroppingthebeansin,theybottomoutattheidealdryingtemperature.OncethebeansareloadedRoastloggerdetectsthetemperaturedropandbeginslogging+activatestheactiontable.

Thefirststepistoapply100%heatertillthebeansreachdryingtemperature(260*).Then50%heatisappliedtoallowforaverysmallRoR.Once275*isreachedRoastloggeradvancestothenextstep.Inthiscase100%heaterisapplieduntilfirstcrack.

Whenfirstcrackbegins.Thebuttonunderthegraphispressed,thegraphismarked&theactiontableadvancestothe"ActionsafterFC"tab.Where25%heaterafter30secondsisentered.Whichseemstogiveanice&slowRoRleadingintosecondcrackaround5minafter1stbegan.TohelppushthebeansintosecondcrackIhaveasettingontheactiontabletooutput40%heateronce415*isreached.Idumpthebeansoncethesnapsofsecondbecomeconsistent(FullCity).Oncethebeansaredumped,the"End"buttonispressed&theloggingstops.

Prettydangneat!

FYI.Thewiringis10gafromthewallsocketallthewaytotheheaterterminals.Alltheelectricalconnectionsandswitchesinbetweenarerated20a@120/240v.Thebussfuseholderisrated20a@300vaswell.Itwasoverbuiltsothefusewouldbethebottleneckintheelectricalpathway.

Idon'thaveanammeter,justamultimeter.Todoublecheckthekillawatt'saccuracyItrieditona1000wwaterkettle&1200wspaceheaterbothtestedwithin50wofthestatedwattage.

WhileoutatthehardwarestoretogetmorefusesIchattedwiththeresidentelectrician.Hesuspectsthe"microwavetype"busfusescan'thandleasustainedloadof3/4oftheirrating,andconsequentlyoverheat.

Also,thefusesarefastblonotsloblo,Ilinkedthewrongonesintheearlierpost.Doesthatmakeadifference?

Foundit.Thesupplywiresthatfeedintotheceramicterminalblockforthenichromecoilshowsignsofoverheating.Ibelievethe10gateflon/fiberglasssheathedwireisratedfor480degreesf.Also,thecopperstrandsarecoatedwithzinc,notnickel.Thezinccoatinghasburnedoffafull2"fromtheconnectionpoint.Thatmeansthewirewasexposedtoover700*f.Deratingitscurrentcapacitytolessthan50%.Uppingtheresistance&amperageblowingthefuse.
