Selected by the senior class and awarded to the boy and girl who consistently make ethical choices, are good role models, who make a difference in others’ lives, and who strive to do their best.

SERVICE ABOVE SELF AWARD Presented by Sofia Lopez, Community Service Teacher Selected by the faculty and staff and awarded by the Burien Rotary Club to the student who has gone above and beyond in service to Kennedy Catholic and the greater community.

CLASS OF 1977 IN MEMORIAM INSPIRATIONAL AWARD Presented by Myrna Moffat '77, Spanish Department Chair Originally named the “Class of 1977 Lanigan-Kelley Inspirational Award”, the title of this award is now called the “Class of 1977 In Memoriam Inspirational Award”. Selected by the faculty, and awarded to the student who has a positive outlook on life; has been thoughtful and giving; has consistently shown support of classmates through friendly actions; has not been presumptuous toward impressing others; and has participated in extracurricular activities while at Kennedy Catholic.

MICHAEL BATTERBERRY SOLIDARITY AWARD Presented by Maurice Jones, Human Relations Advisor In honor of long-time Kennedy Catholic chaplain, this award is voted on by the senior class and awarded to the student who most actively celebrated the various cultures, races, ethnicities, talents, gifts, and abilities present within the Kennedy Catholic community.
