TRANSCRIPT

Monday, 24 – Tuesday, 25 September 2018

Centre for Judicial Studies (CEJ) - Largo do Limoeiro

1149-048 Lisbon, Portugal

EJTN CIVIL LAW PROJECT

Ruling on Cross-border Labour Cases at an European Level

With financial support from the Justice

Programme of the European Union

The added value of the 2 daylong seminar consists of delivering in-depth insights on highly specialized topics pertaining to diversified aspects of cross-border issues on European Labour Law (considering both the EU and the CoE legal frameworks, and the case law of not only the Luxembourg and the Strasbourg Courts, but also the case law of the European Committee of Social Rights). Expert speakers will be called to expand upon such aspects as jurisdiction, applicable law, cross-border transfer of undertakings, and the posting of workers. In order to combine the theoretical approach with a more concrete one, workshop sessions will also be organized in order to provide participants the possibility of applying EU and CoE legislation and case-law in practical cases, and facilitate the exchange of best practices.
