way through the pride lands as Simba and Nala grew and experienced the “Circle of Life” for three eve-nings on our school stage.

CHURCHALIVECAMPAIGNUPDATEJanuary31,2018Themostrecentinformationwehavereceivedfromthediocese(inroundnumbers)showsthefollowing:TotalPledges:$2,200,000AmountCollected:$1,650,000(75%)OpenPledges:$550,000(25%)Recognizingthisisa5yearcampaign(2014-2018),weareclosetobeingontime.Ofthe$1,650,000collected,$600,000hasbeenremittedtothedioceseandthere-maining$1,050,000hasbeeneitherspentonphase1ofourrenovation($900,000)ordepositedinarestrictedparishsavingaccount($150,000).Theremaining$550,000tobecollectedwillallcometotheparish.Since2018isyear5ofthecampaign,weshouldhavecollected80%ofourpledgesbynow($1,760,000).Thatmeansweareonlyabout$100,000behindschedule.Weverywellmaycatchupnowthatournewgroupinghasbeenan-nounced.AlsowehopetobeabletomoveforwardwithourChurchrenovationsin2019,whichmayhelpimproveour inalcollections.
ONMISSIONFORTHECHURCHALIVEAsYouSentMeintotheWorld,SoISentThemintotheWorld.–InthecreationstorywearetoldthatGodmadehumanbeings“inHisimage.”Thisdoesn’tmeanthatweareexactclonesoridenticaltwinsofGod,butratherthateachofus,inlightofouruniquegiftsandcharacteristics,arecreatedtore lectthevibrantlifeandlovingfaceofGodtoothers.God’shandinourlivesdoesn’tendincreatingus.Through-outourlivesGodgivesuspurposeand illsuswiththegiftsweneedtoful illthatpurpose.Thechal-lengeforusisforustoknowourselvesasGodknowsus.ThroughprayerandinhumilityweareinvitedtoseeclearlyGod’swillforourlivesandallhehaspro-videdsothathiswillandourlivesmaybecomplete.Godhasn’trandomlyorthoughtlesslyplacedusinthisworldtocreatearealityforourselves.Hehassentusintotheworldwithaspeci ictaskinmindthatwemightloveothersandbuilduphiskingdomintheChurch,makingitevermoreAlive!Visitonmissionchurchalive.orgtolearnmoreandtostayinformed.
