CATHOLIC CHARITIES MAY APPEAL Holy Spirit will donate 6% from the collection this
weekend to Catholic Charities. Last year Catholic Charities served 140,000 clients
in need throughout the Diocese. Many of the families we serve consist mostly of children under the age of 17. We assist with more than food, in that it is our
mission to provide and create hope. Every year, thousands of compassionate people from
parishes in our Diocese make contributions so that we can serve thousands of people. For every dollar
donated, 89 cents goes directly back to the programs and services for those in need.
More info: www.ccdof.org
WE ARE IN NEED OF ADORERS OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT:
Monday 8AM-9AM and 4PM-5PM
Tuesday 2PM-3PM Wednesday 11AM-12PM and 1PM-2PM
Fridays 8AM-9AM
If you can volunteer for any of the holy hours with Our Lord, please contact Daena at 299-1480.
EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS OF HOLY COMMUNION TO
ASSISTED LIVING
Our parish is in need of Extraordinary Ministers to take Communion to Cottonwood Court
the 2nd Sunday of each month directly from the 8:00AM Mass.
If you are interested in volunteering, or even if you are unable to make a full commitment,
but feel you could serve for a short time, please contact Kate Mallam at 434-3522.
Holy Spirit Church has begun planning for its first
The proceeds will be used to help pay for the new Parish Hall. This is a great opportunity for Fellowship within our parish.
We hope to have food & game booths, beer & wine garden, silent auction, cake walk, entertainment & any other
carnival type of activities. We are inviting ALL parishioners to attend a planning meeting
& to become part of the committee. Wine & cheese will be served. We are hopeful that each ministry will participate
by organizing a booth so it is important for the head of each ministry at our parish to attend. We are also hoping that families
or groups of friends will also participate by organizing a booth and are open to any ideas for booths or activities for the carnival.
The success of the carnival depends on each of you. This is your personal invitation to become part of this event.
Please contact the parish office with any questions. Thank You.
HAVE YOU CONSIDERED ON-LINE GIVING? We are able to accept electronic funds transfers (on-line giving) directly from your bank account.
You may already be paying mortgage or car payments on-line. On-line giving offers many benefits to the church
and to you. By scheduling contribu ons, the church benefits from having a be er predic on of contribu ons and reduces administra ve tasks and costs. Transac ons can be scheduled weekly, bi-monthly or monthly for any
amount and allow you to make a contribu on even if you are unable to a end Mass.
To sign up for, or learn more about on-line giving, please visit our website:
www.holyspiri resno.org & select “On-line Giving/Financial.”

VOCATIONS WITH POPE FRANCIS “In the family, faith accompanies every age of life, beginning with childhood: children learn to trust in the love of their parents. This is why it is so important that within their families parents encourage shared expressions of faith
which can help children gradually to mature in their own faith. Young people in particular, who are going through a period in their lives which is so complex, rich and important for their faith, ought to feel the constant closeness and support of their families and the Church in their journey of faith. We have all seen, during World Youth
Days, the joy that young people show in their faith and their desire for an ever more solid and generous life of faith. Young people want to live life to the fullest. Encountering Christ, letting themselves be caught up in and guided by his love, enlarges the horizons of existence, gives it a firm hope which will not disappoint. Faith is no refuge for the fainthearted, but something which enhances our lives. It makes us aware of a magnificent calling, the vocation of love. It assures us that this love is trustworthy and worth embracing, for it is based on God’s faithfulness which is stronger than our every weakness. (n. 53)”
Basket-in Hand COLLECTION FOR
Steubenville San Diego
On June 3-4, our young people will be doing a b a s k e t - i n - h a n d collection to offset the costs of their annual trip to the Steubenville San Diego Catholic Youth Conference. Every penny collected will go directly to the
costs of the trip (registration, transportation, meals, etc.). Please mark your calendar now and consider supporting the high school teens of our young Church in this endeavor to deepen their faith and to grow in relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church!
