When the parishes of St. Vincent de Paul and St. Monica-St. Augustine were combined in the late winter, earlier this year, we stated that the new St. Monica Parish would incorporate some of the beautiful art and furnishings of the old St. Vincent’s parish. St. Monica’s is now Beginning to reflect this shared heritage, with so much of the artistic beauty of both parishes on display. May Saints Monica, St.

The photos on this page show old and young alike helping to feed people. Bringing meals to homebound seniors, like the St. Peter Lithuanian Confirmation stu-dents did, or providing more than 310 families with Thanksgiving groceries, like the many helping hands at St. Monica’s Kitchen did all the ingredients to have a festive meal wit their immediate families.

Thanks go out this week to so many people, including the folks from the Carpenters Union, the Knights of Columbus, and the men and women of the Boston Police Department, Area C-6. No doubt there are other unsung heroes (Mark O’Leary comes to mind) who helped make a tremen-dous impact in the lives of struggling families. Please forgive us for failing to mention you and many others contributed to this week’s efforts (Gwin, Cheryl, Judie, Ann, Fitzy, Colin, Paul, Susan, Dcn. Paul, Jean and Ed Shifflett....
