Bereavement & Grief Ministry April 19th at 6:30pm, Room 105

St Mary’s Altar Society

Special thanks goes out to Mary Ann Brunner for organizing the church cleaning for Easter. Many parishioners volunteered to scrub, polish and vacuum everything in the many areas of our church. Thanks to the Holy Cross students who earned service hours for Confirmation by helping us with the cleaning duties. St. Mary’s Altar Society provided refreshments for the workers and appreciated everyone who helped with this project.

It is my belief that Deacon Vince was smiling down upon Holy Cross Church last Saturday as we gathered for his final farewell. The funeral was beautiful and his dinner that followed in the school gym was attended by over 200 priests, deacons, family and friends. My deepest gratitude goes out to the many people who helped with the dinner by donating food, decorating, serving and the clean up afterwards. We received many compliments from those who attended and on behalf of St. Mary’s Altar Society, I thank everyone who contributed to the wonderful tribute to Deacon Vince Slomian. May he rest in eternal peace.

Please pray for Larry Lauer, who has just been diagnosed with brain and lung cancer.

Please pray for strength, healing and comfort for Rick during his current chemo treatment.

Please offer continued prayers for good results for a man having a series of tests over the next three months.

Please pray for someone who is in a domestic abuse situation. There are also children involved. One spouse is filing for divorce from the other spouse. The request

is for prayers for the children and protection for the spouse, and that everything will soon be put in place

according to God's will.
