Hollywood has always had an “elephant in the room” mentality when it comes to the blatant disregard of ethnic inclusion. If #OscarsSoWhite has taught us anything, Hollywood is ready for a diverse and more accurate representation of culture and ethnicities in media.

The Hollywood Reporter released their 2016 “100 Most Powerful People in the Industry” list and out of 124 candidates, 19 are women and only 10 people are of color. These stark figures serve to amplify the lack of diversity in one of the most iconic industries in society.
