ENGLISH 1. Science is a good servant but a bad master. Elucidate with reference to the novel “ The Invisible

Man” in 250 words. 2. It is the age of globalisation. The world has shrunk to a global village. The younger generation

likes fun, enjoyment and adventure. They ape western culture. Their attitude to the age long customs and values is quite lukewarm. Sometimes they openly defy and make a mockery of old ideas and ideals. Write an article in about 550-600 words on the topic- “Aping of Western Culture by the Younger Generation”. Paste relevant pictures.

3. There is a rat race going on in today’s world. Youngsters want to study and settle down abroad. But along with that comes the news of youth being duped. “Is grass really green on the other side”? Write an article in 150 to 200 words.

Project Work as prescribed by the CBSE Comprehensive project The students are allotted different practical problems, on the basis of which they will be required to follow the process of accounting and make appropriate accounts as per the requirement of the practical problem.

3) Acknowledgement 4) Certificate 5) Index- should include S.No., Topic, page No. , teachers Signature and remarks. 6) Theory should include the following:

a) Meaning, advantages and objective of project work. b) Accounting principles c) Rules of debit and credit

7) Comprehensive project should include: a) Comprehensive project heading, name of the problem and period under review. b) Practical Problem c) Solution should include the following: Journal, ledger, trial balance, adjustment entries if any,

trading, profit and loss A/c and balance sheet, Ratios with graphs if any, observation and conclusion.

8) Specific project on accounting ratios.→ Take a colored printout of a real company’s Financial statement + calculate all slovency, liquidity , profitability and Turnover ratios, Analysis the ratios and prepare a project report:

Consider their effects on the market for new cars. (c) New environmental regulations require the drug industry to use a more environment friendly technology whose running cost is higher but which discharges less chemicals than before. How would it affect the price of drug ? (d) A new steel plant comes up in Jharkhand. People who were previously unemployed in the area are now employed. (e) In order to encourage tourism in Goa, the Government of India suggests Indian Airlines to reduce air fare to Goa from the four major cities of Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai and New Delhi. If the Indian Airlines reduces the fare to Goa, how will this affect the market demand curve for air travel to Goa?

subjects). Write a program to create such an array and print out a list of students who have failed in

more than one subject. Define the fail criteria as average of marks in all three subjects is less than 40%.

7. Write a function check() to check if the passed array of 10 integers is sorted or not. The function should

return 1 if arranged in ascending order, -1 if arranged in descending order, 0 if it is not sorted. Take into

account error handling when a float value is entered.

8. Write a program to create a file “Text1.txt” and enter four lines of text in it. The file should stop taking

input after 4 lines of text.

9. Write a program to create a file “Para.txt”. Input some words in the file. Then write a function to count

the number of words present in “Para.txt”. Assume that each word is separated by a single blank/space

character and no blanks/spaces in the beginning and end of the file.

10. Write a function in C++ to count the number of "Me" or "My" words present in the text file

"DIARY.TXT". If the file "DIARY.TXT" content is as follows:
