HOLIDAY HIGHLIGHTS

The holidays were so much fun at TMA and Twin Rivers! Santa came to visit the Pre-School at both campuses. The children were SO excited to meet the big guy in red. The older children were quite intrigued to see he drove a Cooper when not in his sleigh.

Our Annual Thanksgiving Feast was held for all students at both campuses. Our parents brought many delicious dishes for all to enjoy. In the American spirit of giving thanks, Mrs. DeLong presented a check to the Ronald McDonald House of Orlando for $853 to Ms Kayla Jones, Events Coordinator for Ronald McDonald House. TMA HAPPENINGS

Kindergarten Level Up Night is January 25th! Be sure to find out why Preschool is only the beginning in your child’s Montessori education. A Montessori educated child has skills that will enrich his or her life forever. Check out how Montessori impacted the founders of Google and other outstanding people in the world.

What happens when my child is in Kindergarten or First Grade in Montessori? 

Our Montessori Level Up Night program is designed with you in mind. Think of it as your passport into the world of Montessori!It is our hope that you will come away with an enhanced understanding of what your child will be experiencing as they move through the different levels of education our school offers and completes the full cycle of our Montessori program. If your child is going into Kindergarten or First Grade, please join us on Monday, January 25th at 6:30 for a night of leveling up! Free child care will be offered to our students plus a $25.00 tuition credit to rising Kindergarten and First Grade students just for attending!!We look forward to sharing Montessori with you and any guest you may wish to invite!Please return the form emailed to you by Tuesday, January 19th to RSVP.

Pre-School Social-

 TMA/TR Pre-K and K Families, The TMA/TR PTA is hosting a Pre-School social, as a great, stress-free opportunity for our Pre-School and K students from both Twin Rivers and TMA main campus to meet and play outside of school hours. Winter Dance at the Crystal Ballroom

The PTA is also planning a Winter Dance for Friday, January 29, at the Crystal Ballroom from 7:00-9:00 p.m for Kindergarten students and older through Middle School and parents. This event is in the planning stages, so they can use your help! They need volunteers to help with food and drinks. There will be drinks, snacks, a DJ and Ashton Photography to take pictures. A sign up genius is being prepared for your convenience. You will soon receive more information.

Chess Club and Basketball Intramurals

Fliers have been sent for both of these fun activities. Both begin in February. Please let Coach Phillips know if you are interested or have any questions. Chess Club and Basketball are available for 1st graders and older students.

Recreational Chess Tuesdays – 3:15-4:5Competitive Chess Thursdays- 3:15-4:15Basketball-Mondays and Wednesdays- 3:30-4:15

Cooking Class –

Mondays – Pre-K and K; Tuesdays- 4th through 6th; Thursdays – 1st through 3rd

Scrapbooking Class- Wednesdays-2:15-3:30, Fridays – 3:15-4:30. Open to all ages!!

TMA Literary Magazine-Paw Prints

The deadline is approaching for our young authors to publish! Refer to your flier for instructions. Submissions must be sent by 1/26 at 2:00 pm.

All writing submissions MUST be typed and submitted as a Word document to TMA@harlandwebs.com by the submission deadline.

Tuskawilla/Twin Rivers Montessori AcademyAll artwork submissions must be high resolution .jpg electronic format (so you will need to scan your artwork to submit it) and emailed toTMA@harlandwebs.com by the submission deadline. A confirmation email will be sent when a submission

is received. If you do not receive a confirmation email, your submission did not go through so use the email above to coordinate file transfer if that happens. Note that Office Depot and Staples as well as FedEx Office can do high res scans to make .jpg files. Each submission MUST include a title for the piece along with the student’s full name, grade, teacher and classroom, parent/guardian name, email and phone number (in case of questions).  Submissions can’t be returned so be sure you keep the original.

Yearbook Orders

It’s time to think about ordering a yearbook! It’s so exciting to receive the beauty copy at the end of the year and enjoy the fun and memories! Email Mrs. Sherri Garner for your copy at sherri@tuskmont.org . If families have pictures to share please place them on a flash drive, give to Mrs. Garner, and she will return them the next day. Pictures of field trips, special events, sports, or anything special you would like to send her would be wonderful. Ads may be purchased ranging from a full page to business card size. Prices are on the website, Student/Parent Resource page.

Nature Walks, Bike Rides, Ice Skating! Fun!

Mrs. Linda Marzullo, Mrs. Amy Phillips, and Mrs. Laura Ong have prepared a series of activities that are always a good time for all. Parents that attend are asked to stay with their child(ren) at all times. We usually have a great crowd of TMA families and friends of all ages, so be sure to join us,too!
