How AMERICAN LUTHERAN SCHOOL Celebrates CHRISTmas! ALS makes Christmas special for our students in many ways. Each of our classes turns their dramatic play center into a live nativity where students can be Mary, Joseph or the angels and reenact the Christmas story. We have our own private tour of Walk through Bethlehem. Miss Kathy walks us through the sights and sounds of that very special night.

ALS hosts two family events for Christmas: in early December we have a Christmas craft night. All our families are invited to an evening of creating festive crafts to decorate their homes and enjoy snowman soup (Hot Chocolate) and homemade treats. Later in December, all our families come together for a Christmas Chapel in the Sanctuary.

Ms. Tricia leads the message in Chapel, each class performs a Christmas fingerplay, and the whole group sings traditional Christmas carols together. Our outreach and service projects include participating in Operation Christmas Child with Samaritan’s Purse and visiting Good Samaritan assisted living center to sing and spread Christmas joy with the residents. Merry Christmas from American Lutheran School!
