Meet the Staff Ms. Ambrosini (Co-director) —Ms. Ambrosini teaches English on Team 7-0. She is fortu-

nate to spend her days at Holicong both writing and reading alongside her students and

staging the musical with gifted performers. She appreciates the talents and efforts of the

cast and crews, particularly the ninth graders who wow her with their musical abilities,

work ethic, and genuine hearts of gold. Collaborating with an amazing musical staff—the

ingenious Mr. Glaser, the powerhouse Mrs. Rickert, and the uber-creative Mr. Palmer—

inspires Ms. A and makes the production more enjoyable. Ms. A also appreciates the inval-

uable contributions of Caroline Whinney, student director; Caroline’s dedication speaks to

her grace and talent. Ms. A appreciates greatly the parent volunteers whose time and ener-

gy make everything more manageable. She thanks the alumni for again sharing their ex-

pertise and Mr. C, Mr. Kelly, Mrs. Madden, and Ms. Sein for giving their time and effort.

Ms. A thanks her family and friends for their support, especially during musical season.

Mr. Glaser (Co-Director)—Mr. Glaser is the vocal music teacher here at Holicong, a posi-

tion he has joyfully held for 18 years. He wants to thank everyone involved with the show

this year for picking up the slack during an insanely crazy last couple of months. He is

grateful to his wonderful wife, Adrienne, for her love and for understanding and supporting

him in the crazy life of a middle school music teacher. Thanks to everyone at Holicong, es-

pecially to the administration, music department and everyone on the production staff for

all of their contributions in making this show possible. Thanks to the alums for their en-

couragement and help. Thanks to the private vocal instructors of so many of these students

for helping to get them so well prepared! Lastly—thanks to this amazing cast for being so

on top of things this year with all of the rehearsal time that I missed. You guys are a one in

a million group and I am so blessed to be your teacher—break legs!

Mr. Kelly (Lighting Crew)—Mr. Kelly is a ninth grade social studies teacher, and he is

also in charge of Holicong’s television studio, Mock Trial team, World Affairs Club, and

ninth grade National History Day. He has been designing lighting for concerts and musi-

cals for twenty-five years and has worked at venues from the TLA and Trocadero in Phila-

delphia to the Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden New Jersey. He enjoys seeing the

wonderful work that student musicians, actors, and stage and lighting crews put into

Holicong’s shows and concerts. He would like to thank his wife Joanne and children, Abbie

and Brendan, for all of their love and support. He also wants to thank Mr. Glaser, Miss

Ambrosini, Mrs. Rickert, and Mr. C. for all their hard work to make this show so wonderful.

Page 21: Holicong Middle School - cbsd.org · The Little Mermaid Based on Hans Christian Andersen story and the Disney film produced by Howard Ashman & John ... Positoovity

Meet the Staff Mrs. Rickert (Behind the Scenes, Program, On/Off Stage Assistant)— Mrs. Rickert

is a seventh grade English teacher on Team 7-0. She wears many hats for Holicong’s musi-

cal productions, working both behind the scenes and with the actors. She appreciates the

student volunteers who bring great energy, creativity, and talent to the many groups that

work behind the scenes: Art Crew, Public Relations Committee, Sound Crew, Live Stage

Crew, Lighting Crew, and Ushers. Mrs. R is awed by her colleagues’ musical production tal-

ents. She thanks Ms. Ambrosini and Mr. Glaser for being her teacher, mentor, and role

model for the past seventeen years. She thanks Mr. Palmer for bringing fresh eyes, creativi-

ty and laughter to this production, and Miss Sein for her unwavering dedication to the

cast’s makeup. Lastly, Mrs. Rickert thanks her darling father, her energetic mother, her

powerful sister, and her savvy husband for their constant support and Monday night din-

ners.

Miss Sein (Assistant Director)—Miss Sein started doing theater in second grade and has

always dreamed of working with students to bring the same joy she felt all throughout her

grade school and secondary education. She is a recent graduate of DeSales University and

has been working as a floating substitute for the Central Bucks School District for almost a

year. She has previously worked at Walt Disney World and continues to spread Disney

magic in her spare time by working as a character for A Storybook Party. Miss Sein is so

happy she was able to share her makeup skills and previous experience with all the stu-

dents in the show. She is so proud of all the cast and crew for all of the hours and hard work

they have put into this production, it’s going to be Fin-tastic! She would like to give a

HUGE thank you to Mr. Glaser, Mrs. Rickert, and Ms. Ambrosini for allowing her to join

them on this crazy under-the-sea adventure! She would also like to give a shout out to her

family, friends, TRB, and her dog for supporting her and always being able to make her

laugh. Break a leg everyone!

Caroline Whinney (Student Director)—Caroline is a senior at Central Bucks East and

participated in theater throughout her time at Holicong, playing roles such as Mayzie in

Seussical and Myra in Dear Edwina. She is now a member of Patriot Players and will be

performing in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat later this year. Caroline is

also very involved in choir; she is currently Choir Treasurer and has made District and Re-

gional Choirs. After high school, she plans on majoring in Business and Real Estate, but

will certainly continue with music and theater during her time at college. Caroline would

like to thank Ms. Ambrosini, Mr. Glaser, and Mrs. Rickert for this amazing opportunity, as

well as the rest of the cast and crew for allowing her to be a part of such an incredible show

and for working so hard to make it happen. Break a fin!

both his high school and the Bucks County Baseball Academy. He is excited to perform in

what will likely be his last musical and enjoy his time with the cast.

Grant Willard (jellyfish, frog)—Grant has previously acted in Willy Wonka Jr. with Cairn

Academy and Jonah at Doylestown Presbyterian Church. He is in Robe Choir and 8th

Grade Band. This is Grant's first musical with Holicong and he enjoys being a part of the

cast! Outside of theater, his interests include downhill skiing, gaming, comedians, and

travel.

Emily Young (purple fish, dream)— Emily is in seventh grade. This is Emily's first play/

musical she has ever been in and is excited to perform on stage! Emily has enjoyed learning

new things throughout the musical process.

Julianna Zannikos (Ariel, seaweed)— Julianna is in 9th grade and is very thrilled to be

back in her second production here at Holicong! Her first was back in 7th grade when she

played Sharpay Evans in High School Musical. Julianna has a deep passion for music and

performing, and participates in Robe Choir, H-Factor, and orchestra at Holicong. She'd like

to thank the cast, crew, and teachers who have been like a second family throughout the

whole process. She sends much love their way and wishes the best of luck to everyone in-

volved!

Jack Zebetavage (Windward, turtle, starfish)— Jack is in 9th grade and this will be his

third Holicong Middle School Production. In 7th grade Jack played the role of a nerd in

High School Musical. In 8th grade, Jack played the role of F. Scott. Fitzgerald in Thorough-

ly Modern Millie. Jack has made so many friends doing the musical, and it has been a great

experience. Along with singing and acting, Jack also loves skating and lacrosse. Jack is su-

per excited to perform and says break a leg to the cast.
