program in Beijing and Shanghai, China!
Travel OverviewWe will visit Beijing, the capital city and the political and cultural center of the country; Tianjin, a major port city and commercial center on the Bohai Bay, east of Beijing; and Shanghai, the “New York City” of China.

Program DescriptionDuring Summer Session I, the Department of Marketing and International Business offers a study abroad program for both undergraduate and graduate students. Classes offered are MKT 170/IB 170 and MKT 220, International Marketing (three credits each). Other classes (e.g., IB 207) can be arranged individually. The program includes three (3) weeks of class on-campus at Hofstra, and two weeks of class and travel in China.
PrerequisitesFor MKT/IB 170, the prerequisites are 58+ credits (junior standing) and successful completion of MKT 101. The program counts as an elective for marketing majors and minors, fulfills a requirement for the IB major and minor, and counts as an elective for all other majors in the Frank G. Zarb School of Business.
CostsThe estimated program fee is $2,800, plus standard HofstraUniversity tuition and fees for three (3) credits. The programfee covers round-trip airfare, lodging and travel expenses inChina, and other miscellaneous expenses.
