• The player who wrote the roller’s favorite answer places one of their five chips on the space on the board that matches the photo card in play.

• In a four or five-player game, if the roller matches 2+ answers correctly, the roller places one of their chips on ANY open space on the board.

• In a six-player game, the roller must match 3+ answers correctly to place a chip on the board.

Play moves clockwise.

NOTES ON PLAY

• There are NO right or wrong answers. Just write neatly!

• If the die keeps landing on the same number, simply choose any question from the Roller’s Menu.

• Do not be too specific with your answers. You may give the roller an easy guess!

• To help remember the answers on your turn, you can request to hear the answers again and/or write key words on the back of your answer sheet.

• There is no time limit...but try not to take all day when writing and/or guessing answers!

• TEAM PLAY: If more than six people want to play the game, simply have players form teams of two.

• The numbers on the answer pad do not correspond to the numbered questions. When writing answers, simply start in the first space and continue in order.

• In the unlikely event you placed a chip on an open space and the photo card for that space is played on a later turn, your chip will get bumped off the board if you are the roller or if you don’t write the roller’s favorite answer.

• Encourage everyone to bring their own family photos the next time you play Awkward Family Photos!

HOW DO YOU WIN?

The first player to EITHER place all five of their chips on the board OR three of their chips in a row on the board (vertically, diagonally or horizontally) wins the game!

• Two players can win at the same time if the roller and the player who wrote the favorite answer play their final chip on a single turn.
