***MESSAGE FROM WA GRM***
13 March 2020 As Grand Royal Matron of Washington it is my responsibility to ensure the safety of our Amaranth members while protecting the Grand Court of Washington, the Constitution of Supreme Council and By-laws of our Grand Council. I have been constantly monitoring the spread of the Corona virus in Washington and its potential dangers to our population. In discussions with the Yakima County Department of Health in Yakima County and with the convention hotel in Yakima, they have both recommended that we POSTPONE Grand Court of Washington.
This request from the convention hotel releases Grand Court from any financial responsibilities to the hotel. We are working on the logistics of rescheduling and will inform the membership as soon as plans are solidified. I have conferenced with the Supreme Royal Matron and she concurs that postponing is the most prudent action at this time. There are many unanswered questions. Please don’t support a rumor mill. I will keep you informed as solutions are formulated. Please watch the Washington website and Supreme website if you are able as updates will be posted there. I will not be posting to social media. We are putting actions in place to reach as many members as possible. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Subordinate Court meetings: I realize that this creates many questions about Subordinate court meetings. Subordinate Courts can hold their meetings, elections and installations as scheduled. If your host lodge is open to you or if you can find a suitable replacement facility, please attempt to hold your meeting. If you cannot hold your meeting, follow the regulations set forth for a make-up meeting. Do not arbitrarily cancel your meeting, please at least make an honest attempt to have your stated meeting. You will have 30 days to make up a missed meeting without obtaining a special dispensation. A special dispensation will be needed after that time frame elapses and will be granted without a fee being assessed. It is not required to inform the Grand Royal Matron of a make-up meeting being scheduled within that 30-day time frame, but I would ask that I be informed out of courtesy. It is important to remember that we are a family and we will get through this as a family. Communication from reliable sources is the key to making sure that everyone stays safe. Please communicate what you KNOW to be TRUE. Do not speculate. I will keep Washington Grand Court informed. If you have email, please check it for periodic updates. If you know someone who does not have email or texting capabilities – inform them. REMEMBER I WILL NOT BE POSTING TO SOCIAL MEDIA. SK Bill and I sincerely wish for everyone to be safe and healthy. First and foremost take care of yourselves and your family. Remember, if you have any questions please feel free to contact me directly. We look forward to seeing you on the Amaranth Safari trail soon. Amaranth love, Donna K Hoffman, Grand Royal Matron 2019-2020

A NOTE OF THANK YOU! Honored Ladies and Sir Knights. Words cannot express how blessed I am to be a part of Oregon Grand Court. We are special and during this past weekend it was proven as we celebrated the successes that have been accomplished this past year with our friends from eleven other jurisdictions. Yes, the gathering for our annual session was smaller than in years past, but all who attended felt the warmth that only Oregon radiates. I personally want to thank all those who had a part in the planning of the reception to honor HL Naomi and myself as your Supreme Officers. It was a very special evening spent with many friends. I look forward to serving as Supreme Marshal in the West at our Supreme Council Session in July. I am honored to be a part of our wonderful order and look forward to representing Oregon as I travel. Although there is one thing that I will never forget. “There is no place like home”. Thanks again for your kindness. Stay safe and healthy. Amaranth Love, Charlene Tucker, SMW

“God saw fit to call him –
And he answered his call from above, But he caused a vacant spot here on earth
When he left the ones he loved. We think of him as waiting for us
While we tarry here awhile,
Ever looking for that meeting When he will greet us with a smile”
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Sir Knight. Our sincerest
sympathy is extended to his family and to his court.

ARAGO FUNDRAISER
https://www.bonfire.com/diabetes/
Spread the word about Arago Court's newest fundraiser that is up and running, which promotes
Amaranth and our work towards supporting Diabetes Research. Amaranth Members while
wearing them will intrigue others and give an opportunity to a conversation about both our Order
and Diabetes Research.
I have attached a sample color of each of the designs available. There are between 3-5 colors in
each style to choose from and the sizes are available from XS to 3X. The product gets delivered
to the person's chosen address who ordered. Sales are only through Bonfire website and profits
benefit Arago Court Order of Amaranth directly.
These are fun shirts to promote awareness of Diabetes Research and the support that Amaranth
gives to this Philanthropy.
The front has a "Cure Diabetes" Ribbon on the left chest. Many colors and styles of T-shirts and sweatshirts. Orders are taken online, made at the end of the 14 day sale period and then shipped to your home/address. This one will end on June 2, 2019 and will be set to ship by June 11. Profits go to Arago Court #31, Order of the Amaranth in North Bend Oregon. Many colors/styles to choose from. This one can be worn by anyone, so feel free to share the link! https://www.bonfire.com/curediabetes/

March is…the third month of the year in both the Julian and Gregorian calendars. It
is one of seven months that are 31 days long. In the Northern Hemisphere, the
meteorological beginning of the spring occurs on the first day of March.
The March equinox on the 20th or 21st marks the astronomical beginning of spring in
the northern Hemisphere and the beginning of autumn in the Southern Hemisphere,
where September is the seasonal equivalent of the Northern Hemisphere’s March.
March birth flowers are Daffodil and Jonquil, the birthstone is Aquamarine or Bloodstone
meaning Courage.

Peacock Fun Facts
“Peacock” is commonly used as the name for a peafowl of the pheasant family. Bit
in fact “peacock” is the name for the colorfully plumaged male peafowl only. The females
are called peahens, they are smaller and grey or brown in color.
The name of a baby peafowl is a peachick.
Peacocks are best known for their amazing eye-spotted tail feathers or plumage.
During a display ceremony the peacock will stand its tail feathers up to form a fan that
stretches out nearly 2 m in length.
GOLF FUNNIES
How many golfers does t take to change a light bulb?
FORE!
Why do golfers carry an extra pair of pants?
In case they get a hole in one.
Golf is a lot like taxes: You go for the green and wind up in the hole.
