To all our Amaranth FriendsAll will take their seats and assist in the final duties of Mizpah-Rose Court #12 in

Portland, Oregon. Our final (Farewell) meeting will be held on Friday, May 20th, 2016 at 7:30pm at Kenton Lodge, with fellowship to follow. We will be merging with Colonial Court at Lents Lodge.

Dress Code for the night will be white dress for the ladies and black tux and white shirt for the gents as this is our Memorial Service.

Uncrowning of our Royal Matron, HL Sharon Gordon will take place June 1st at 7:30pm at Colonial Court’s stated meeting

Everyone is welcome to join us at both of these functions. It will be both bitter and sweet.But we at Mizpah-Rose are looking forward to assisting Colonial Court with their meetings and making new friends.

Attached are 2 pictures from the house fire that happened at HL Anne and SK Don Beaton's very early Tuesday morning (5/2). They have been displaced from their home for 3-4 months and are currently in a rental that is in HL Anne's words-"pretty rough" but it had the much needed fenced yard for their dogs.

As you can see from the 2 pictures included the house in pretty much a total mess. From the fire and water damage, they lost quite a bit. Cards can still be sent to them at their address listed in the directory.

Please keep them in your thoughts as they work through this most difficult time of rebuilding.

From your Grand Lecture-----HL Patti NielsenDear HL’s and SK’s:

Our Ritual: The teachings of the Order of the Amaranth are many. It enhances our belief in God, Country and provides for a means in doing good.

However it is NOT to be REPRODUCED in any form without permission of the Board of Supreme Trustees - please refer to the very first page of your Ritual. So what does that really mean? 1. We are NOT to type a script using the parts from the ritual written out. 2. We are not to photocopy ANY pages of the ritual.

Our beautiful Ritual is now in a 3-ring binder and comes in multiple sizes which makes it very easy to use. You can create an outline of the activity you need but you cannot type out the parts in your outline for members to use. You can add sticky notes to the pages with comments. You can highlight in your Ritual for the office that you are responsible for. And you can easily open your binder and remove one or two pages from your Ritual to be used as needed.

I would suggest that each Court purchase a large Ritual for the use of the Royal Matron and Royal Patron while presiding on the Throne. This allows them to be able to read easily directly from the Ritual.

Any of you who have typed out the Ritual in any manner please destroy these copies. I will be picking up any copies that I see being used as they are noticed. I am happy to help offer suggestions as to how you can use the ACTUAL Ritual to best meet your needs. Our Ritual is a beautiful work of art and we all should respect the wishes of our Supreme Council in preserving its integrity.

=======================================================Dear HL’s and SK’s of Oregon Grand Court,

It is with great humility that I have embarked on the journey of a lifetime as your Grand Associate Conductress. I want to thank the members of Grand Court for their vote of confidence and I pledge to you my commitment to work diligently for Oregon Grand Court and for our fund-raising efforts to find a cure for Diabetes and to fund youth scholarships.

The coming years will surely be an adventure and I look forward to forging new trails and gathering friends along the path. Our group will be known as the “Kris-tal Inspirations” and we will be using crystals and dragonflies as our fun emblems. Both represent hope and positive change, which I have for our beautiful Order. We will be using the colors of purple, green and blue. Our watchwords will be Dream, Believe and Inspire!

I have encouraged the Associate Conductresses to visit as often as their schedules permit and I know you will welcome our group as you have every wonderful group that has gone before. If I can be of assistance to your Court, please let me know. Wes and I love to travel and have enjoyed our recent visits for Court installations. I look forward to the coming years and thank you again for the opportunity to serve Oregon Grand Court.

Acacia Court---2nd Friday at 7:30 pm---except in March (4th Friday)

Arago Court---2nd Saturday at 7:00 pm. They are meeting at the Glasgow Grange. It is located at the turn off of Highway 101 at the North end of McCollough Bridge. Turn at the light (you can only turn one way) and go approx. 1/2 mile. The Grange is in front of the Fire Dept.)

Chehalem Court---4th Tuesday at 7:30 pm

Cherry Court---2nd Wednesday at 7:00 pm

Christina Court---1st Friday at 7:30 pm

They always have a dinner prior to their meeting. Dinners start at 6:00 pm. Donations accepted for dinner.

HL’s Kris, Marilyn and Val Jean having a good laugh at the high water pants of SK Ed Wyman, PGRP and SK Bill Korte, RP and SK Wes Aanderud, PGRP…anyone remember the story of SK Ed at the Mirror Court OV back in 2001 when he picked up his Tux from the cleaners and they gave him the wrong pants. HL Val Jean was the GRM with SK Ed that year.
