HKUST 25th Anniversary Sports Members Reunion Sports Day to welcome the Sports Alumni back to Alma Mater

More than 270 sports alumni and their family members enjoyed the reunion sports day, the first of its

kind, on Saturday, 7 May 2016. Thanks to the funding support of the President’s 1-HKUST Student

Life Award.

Participants all enjoyed the events in Badminton, Basketball, Football, Handball, Netball, Rugby, Sport

Climbing, Tennis, Track & Field and Volleyball arranged by the Sports Association, session 2015-16.

President Tony F CHAN joined the Volleyball Family and enjoyed doing the setting, blocking & spiking.

The Netball alumni enjoyed the Mixed Netball opportunities.

Alumni family members have a go at the running contests and rope skipping activities.

We, executive committee of the Sports Association, HKUSTSU, session 2015-16, are thankful for the opportunities in serving as the Event Organizer. It is absolutely a challenging task for us but we are pleased to be involved in this meaningful and enjoyable event for the celebration of the 25th Anniversary of HKUST. We have spent tens of hours in the OC meeting, to negotiate and convince different authorities to give approvals or making special arrangements, to carefully design the event rundown and other logistics. We did it with pride for we love “sports” and we treasure the culture of sports that our alumni have built up in HKUST in the past years. A BIG thank you to all who have attended the Reunion Sports Day!
