Mass production of the IMT 575 is started. 1976 The fourth reconstruction of the factory, a new tractor factory of a high-level equipment and technology is built, production capacity – 40000 tractors a year (opened on 7th March 1976) 1982

History

1947 The Central Foundry is founded. The capacity of the foundry – 9000 tons a year

1954 The Metal Institute Aleksandar Ranković becomes the INDUSTRIJU TRAKTORA I MAŠINA - ITM

1964 The factory started the production of the IMT 555 tractor of their own design.

A new tractor factory, producing engines for the standard and pivot steer tractors, power range above 75kW (100KS) is opened; annual capacity – 2000 tractors.

1988 Record annual production results in the history of IMT; 42000 tractors and 35000 machines were produced, the value of the production was over 600 million german marks.

1990-2000 A period of change of geo-political circumstances which led to substantial changes of production in the whole area. Due to significant production results in the previous period, IMT remained a brand on the market.

2000 A new series of tractors is presented, IMT 2000, which is competitive to other manufacturers, what with the relation between the characteristics of the product and the production price in certain segments of the market.

2005 A long-term cooperation is established with the PERKINS company, first engines complaying to the EU 2000/25/EC standards.

2007 Tractor IMT 550.10 type-approved in accordamce with the European directive 2003/37EC. EC type certificate is acquired. Perkins engine 1103C is installed in the tractor – Stage II.

2009 Tractor IMT 550.11 type-approved in accordance with the European directive 2003/37EC. EC type certificate is acquired. Engine Perkins 1103D is installed into the tractor.Stage IIIA.

2009/10 The Government of the Republic of Serbia introduced subsidies for the production and selling of IMT tractors. A significant increase of production and selling of tractors on traditional IMT markets.
