1960: the beginning of the Cowboys franchise.

DECEMBER 27, 1959 Giants defensive assistant coach Tom Landry became the head coach for the Cowboys.

This players were from 12 teams, the Cowboys selected 36 players in 1 day, 3 from each team.

The Cowboys didn't win any games their first season, but they tied one with New York, 31-31.

This Hall of Fame quarterback is considered by most to be one of the best ever at his position.

He won the Heisman Trophy in 1964.

Cowboys win their 1st Super Bowl against Miami, 24-3.

Cowboys made NFL history in the Philadelphia game by making two 100 yard runs.

The Cowboys gain their 2nd Super Bowl victory against Denver, 27-10.

He holds the Cowboys record for interceptions. 52 in his 1st 10 seasons in the NFL.

SUPER BOWL CHAMPS

In his career, Emmitt ran for 18,355 yards and 164 touchdowns. He led the NFL in touchdowns in three different seasons, and received a title for rushing.

Randy White, #54 and Tony Dorsett, #33 are inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Cowboys defeat Bills in Super Bowl XXVIII 27-17.
