MICHAEL JACKSON August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009. Singer/songwriter, 8th child of the Jackson family and debuted in 1964 when he joined the Jackson 5 with his brothers. In 1971, he started his solo career, then later on became the dominant figure of pop music. His album Thriller that he released in 1982 was the best selling album of all time. Also known as MJ, he was one of the very few to be inducted into the Rock and Roll hall of fame twice. He won 13 Grammy awards and got Artist of the century award once. He is recognised as one of the most successful artists to ever live. Unfortunately he died at the age of 51 with problems in his personal life around this time. But this did not overshadow one of the greatest performers of all time.

He is an important role model for music because he can be seen as an idol to other artists. Fans still listen to his songs at least 20 years after his latest single which shows that his music made a huge impact on todays music.

FAMOUS MUSIC VIDEOSMichael Jackson- thriller. This music video will be one I will always remember because of the length of the video (8 minutes) and the acting of zombies in the video. It is completely different to anything else that’s why its easy to remember.

Robin Thicke- Blurred Lines.Modern music video but certainly unforgettable. The video is a crazy, fun and unexpected video that suits the song which is definitely unsuitable for younger viewers. However, this is the reason we wont forget this video as its something different and advertises the song so people will want to watch it.
