Historically Underutilized Business

What is the definition It is a for-profit entity that has not exceeded the size

standards prescribed by Texas Administrative Code 20.23 adopted Sept. 14th, 2011. These are generally small businesses in terms of number of employees and amount of sales per year. At least 51% are owned by Asian Pacific American, Black American, Hispanic American, Native American, American Woman and/or Service Disabled Veteran who resides in Texas.

You Can Make a Difference with Quotes

When do we obtain quotes from HUB’s?You should get quotes for every purchase (written or

verbal) to ensure maximizing our expenditures When is it required?

Federal Fund purchases (19.330 & 19.331) from $3,000 to $5,000 and all purchases over $5,000 not purchased under a cooperative purchasing network• How many quotes do I need?

You must solicit at least three quotes, two of which must be obtained from HUBs. If any are "No Bid", you must obtain a 4th bid from any vendor
