• Two historical monograph collections will be offered, which together contain more than 29,000 titles covering religion and theology

– Series 1 consists of titles from the 13th Century through theWorld Parliament of Religions of 1893, with the majority oftitles from the 19th Century

– Series 2 consists of titles published from 1894 through 1923

– The monograph collections are estimated to include7.5 million pages of content

• The ATLA historical serials collection will contain more than 1,200 serials from the early 19th Century to the early 20th Century and is estimated to contain over 5.4 million pages of content

• “A national program to locate, identify, preserve and make accessible the literary contributions of U.S. Hispanics from colonial times through 1960”

• Covers geographically the fifty states of the Union

• Under the direction of Dr. Nicolás Kanellos, founder and director of Arte Público Press, the oldest and largest publisher of U.S. Hispanic literature in the U.S.

The Initial Collection from EBSCO will contain:

• Approximately 60,000 historical articles

• Complete texts of approximately 1,100 historical books on Hispanic literature and culture

• 80% Spanish content, 20% English

• Indexed and searchable in both Spanish and English

• Target is to release initial product by Fall of 2009

• Future versions will also contain archival and manuscript collections, photographs, letters, diaries and other historical materials
