historic house signs in massachusetts
DESCRIPTION
An assortment of signs or markers for historic houses in Massachusetts as compiled by the Massachusetts Historical Commission. Note that there is no state-wide regulation or guideline for these. The signs are usually created as a part of a program managed by the town's historical society or commission, or a local preservation society, with each group determining the criteria and specifying the design. Other times the signs are created by the owner of the house or building and aren't part of a preservation or recognition program.TRANSCRIPT
