▲ Mounting slides with Ultrakitt

UltraClear

UltraClear is an iso-paraffi n based clearing reagent.

UltraClear may be used as a Xylene replacement

during tissue embedding, de-paraffi nation and staining

processes. UltraClear is less toxic, less-carcinogenic,

less-fl ammable, odorless and easy to adapt with

existing working protocols.

UltraKitt

UltraKitt is a mounting medium that is miscible with

UltraClear, Xylene, Toluene and Iso-propylalcohol (IPA).

UltraKitt is unique, with a granted and fi led patent for

▲ Easy pouring formaldehyde solution

Fixatives, a suitable solution for each application

Formaldehyde solutions

Effective and reproducible fi xation requires buffered

formaldehyde. Non-buffered formaldehyde solutions

are acidic and therefore have an inconsistent pH.

When formaldehyde is acidic, the formation of

formalin-heme pigments may occur.

To obtain optimized fi xation, the buffer concentration

is critical. The 40mM phosphate buffer used in the

J.T.Baker Formaldehyde solutions has proven to be the

best choice as it gives the best overall performance

and the optimum result in immunostaining.

We offer formaldehyde fi xatives as ready to use or

concentrated solutions in various pack-sizes and

packaging materials such as bag-in-box systems and

HDPE containers (for dust free area’s).

Formalin Neutraliser

Formalin Neutraliser facilitates the safe disposal of

used or spilled formalin.

Bouin’s Fixative

Bouin’s Fixative is a picric acid based fi xative used in a

variety of fi xation procedures. It is a popular fi xative

for embryonic studies and skin, due to its excellent

preservation of nuclei and chromosomes.

Cervix Spray Fixative

Cervix Spray Fixative is a non-toxic solution used to fi x

prepared cell smears in such a way that staining with

Papanicolaou gives optimized coloration of all cell

structures.

▲ Handling staining solution

May-Grünwald, Giemsa, Wright and Leishman

These stains are used for tissue sections, cytology

smears, blood smears and bone marrow. Our production

methods and formulations are modifi ed to the highest

standards, resulting in optimized color intensity.

Hemacolour and Sørensen buffer

Hemacolour is a fast, effi cient and convenient staining

method for blood smears replacing the traditional May

Grünwald and Giemsa method. The procedure takes

less than 1 minute and requires only 1 solution. To

ensure the consistency it is advised to use Sørensen

buffer instead of water.

Hematoxylin and Eosin (H&E)

Our Hematoxylin is available according to Mayer and

Gill II/Harris. Modern technology allows a time and

temperature controlled manufacturing process. This

process guarantees a fi nal product with long stability

together with a consistent and bright staining of the

nucleus. J.T.Baker Eosin Y stains are offered as alcoholic

Alcohols and Solvents, UltraPar, Rapid Decalcifi er, Immuno PBS

Alcohols and Solvents

We offer Xylene and Toluene in a Histograde quality.

Alcohols are available in variety of packsizes and

specifi cations, in convenient and easy-to-carry HDPE

cans.

UltraPar

UltraPar is a special particle-free paraffi n intended for use

in tissue embedding and sectioning in histology. When

melted UltraPar is a clear and bright solution, the

solubility of UltraPar in UltraClear is better than other

Paraffi ns. UltraPar does not crack or shrink during cooling.

Rapid Decalcifier

Rapid Decalcifi er is intended to be used for fast and

complete decalcifying of bone-marrow and bone

containing tissue sections. The speed of processing can

be controlled by dilution with water. J.T.Baker Rapid

Decalcifi er also decalcifi es hip-bones within 24 hours.

It gives an excellent staining performance afterwards.

Immuno PBS

This solution is developed for use in immuno-

histo-chemistry staining and differs from regular PBS

solutions in buffer composition, ionic strength and

preservative. As a result the antibody coupling is

stronger and a higher specifi city is obtained. Immuno

PBS is a 20-times concentrated solution to be diluted

with de-ionized or distilled water.
