Program Description • Hire UP is a pilot program for the City of
Rochester • Paid internship program for youth/young
adults • Work Readiness Training • Gain skills, explore career interests, and
prepare for the workforce • Connects employers to youth/young adults
and creates mentors

Hire-UP Program Timeline December 1, 2016 – Online application available for youth to apply February 20, 2017 – Youth application closed, last day to apply February 27th and after – Notification emails and letters are sent March 2017 – Career Readiness Training. All trainings are at WDI Career Readiness Training Students will be assigned ONE Saturday training date 3/11 OR 3/25 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Mock Interview Students will be assigned ONE of the following dates: 4/18 OR 4/19. All mock interviews from 4:30-6:30 PM each night. Important Dates to know: • April 22 – Interview Day • May 15 – first day of work for College interns • June 12th – first day of work for High School interns • August 18th – last day of work for most interns
