Penalties

Penalties for non-compliance of HIPPA laws can be up to $100 dollars per person, and a

maximum of $25,000 a year. Willfully and knowingly can be an even steeper penalty starting at

$50,000 per incident, plus imprisonment, depending on severity of 5 years or more
