PRESIDENTS MESSAGE

Jai Shree Ram!

As we are moving along into 2017, I am pleased to share the successful celebrations of the Events during

the month of February. A major Hindu Festival Mahashivratri was celebrated in the Temple with great

enthusiasm and joy. Devotees in large numbers thronged the Temple all day and night on this auspicious

Day of Lord Shiva. People started pouring in early morning on the 24th to offer Water & Milk to the Shiv

Durbar and perform the Rudra Abhishek. The temple remained open all Day and Night until the 25th

morning for Devotees who like to perform special Poojas during the Ratri Prehers.as per the Hindu

rituals & traditions. My special Thanks to Pandit Dinesh Kumar and Pandit Raghubir for handling the

heavy inflow of Devotees in a very peaceful and organized manner.

The Mandir was beautifully decorated for the festival and for the convenience of the devotees, a special

station with Lord Shivas Statue sitting high up on Kailash Parvat, was also set up. My thanks to our

Decoration Committee Volunteers who always take the time and efforts to create an ambience appropriate

to the occasion, and try to make every festival bright, spirited and special!

A Bhajan Sandhya for singing the Glory and Praise of Lord Shiva, celebrating the wedding of Shiv &

Parvati, was also organized on the evening of the 24th. Shailender Bhatnagar & Bhavna Noto regaled the

audience with their melodious voices and soulful singing. Subhash Sharma, Mona & Deepak Sharma and

several other members of the HOM Bhajan Mandali also sang Bhajans on the occasion.

Another festive occasion as per the Hindu calendar - Basant Panchami, was celebrated in the Temple on

Feb. 12th. Once again, keeping up with the mood & tone of the Day, the Mandir was all decorated with

yellow flowers & kites to mark the fast approaching spring season. I would also like to thank ALL of you

people, who came dressed up in Yellow attire, on my one appeal, and joined us whole-heartedly. This was

also the day of Maa Saraswati and Pandit Ji performed special Pooja for all the kids.

I would also like to APPEAL once again, to my Hari Om Parivar & Friends, to come forward and celebrate

your personal joys like Birthdays, Anniversaries, Achievements etc by Sponsoring Sunday Havan &

Prasad, or, Mata Ki Chowki on the 1st Sat of the month. We have an ongoing Calendar, where you can

block the dates as per your convenience. Two or more Families can also join hands to sponsor the food

and seek Blessings collectively. Please contact any Board Member for more details.
