The Hilltown Summer Festival is celebrating the Hilltown in many diverse ways; from tasteful, tasty and tantalizing through to thought provoking and stretching—there is something here for everyone. We would love to hear your thoughts and comments about the different events and activities you and your family attend. Furthermore to make next year’s Festival bigger and better we need your help! MONDAY JUNE 21st Event title "Settlement Activities through the Years" Mural Handover Time 6.30pm Venue Grey Lodge Settlement Cost Free Details Official Graffiti Mural Art Handover by local Community Artists, Mark Crilley and Adam Milroy. Event title Graffiti Art Workshops Time 7pm-8pm Venue Grey Lodge Settlement Cost £2 Details "Producing Your Own" workshops in two age groups: 8-12 years & 12-18 years, with a selection of small prizes for attendance and achievement. Event title Scottish Evening and Ceilidh for the whole family Time 7.30pm-10.30pm Venue Mark Henderson Centre Cost Free (donations welcome) Details The fabulous University of Abertay Dundee Piping & Traditional Music Club will be performing Scottish Ceilidh dances. TUESDAY JUNE 22nd Event title Celebrating Language and Culture in the Community Time 2pm Venue Mark Henderson Centre Cost Free Details Do you know any local words? Do you want to learn more about where you live through arts, crafts and singing workshops? We will be using YOUR local words to print onto JUTE, learning Dundee songs as we JAM with a local singer and make collages from old newspapers (for the JOURNALISM bit).

Cost Free Details Come to a coffee morning, with music sessions and the chance to try the ‘Booth’, a simulator playing an award-winning film about hearing voices. From noon there is the Haven Lunch and an afternoon of creative writing, nails & beauty, and art.
