Welcome to Hill ViewWhen you’re looking for a care home, either for yourself or a loved one, it’s important you feel confident with your decision. That means choosingsomewhere that offers the highest standards of care, comfort and support, with friendly, experienced staff, and a warm, homely atmosphere. Welcome toHill View, a Bupa care home.
Feel better, with BupaSituated in Dalmuir, a residential area of Clydebank, Hill
View comprises five separate houses – three for nursing
care and two for nursing dementia care. As you’d expect
from Bupa, our standards of care are second to none, and
we employ highly trained registered nurses and care
assistants who provide 24-hour professional support.
We care for each resident in accordance with their
individual care plan – under the supervision of a
dedicated home manager. It means you’ll feel better
knowing every resident is extremely well looked after,
based on their individual needs and preferences.
A warm, homely environmentWe want our residents to feel very much at home. So we
keep rules and regulations to a minimum – and take care
to create comfortable, homely surroundings.
We believe in striking a balance, between providing
support when it’s needed, and helping residents maintain
their independence – and we encourage each resident to
lead a full and active lifestyle wherever possible.

Our homeA modern, purpose-built home, Hill View has been
carefully designed to create a pleasant, well-equipped
home for elderly people. Each house has a comfortable,
well furnished lounge, conservatory and dining area
which provide a meeting place for residents to relax and
entertain guests. Our activities take place here, and they
are also a place to socialise, watch television or simply
spend some quiet time. We know how important it is to
keep in touch with friends and family, so our door is
always open to guests. All houses have access to the
large landscaped gardens and patio area, there are
raised flower beds and window boxes so residents who
wish to help out in the garden can do so.
Our 150 single en-suite bedrooms are all attractively
decorated to a high standard and have views overlooking
the gardens. Each room has a telephone and aerial
point, thermostatic radiators, smoke detectors and a
24-hour nurse call system. To make their rooms feel as
much like home as possible, we encourage residents to
bring in their own belongings, such as pictures and
ornaments.
Appetising freshly prepared mealsMeals are an important part of the day, and our chef
creates a wide range of balanced, nutritious dishes,
prepared daily using only the freshest ingredients. A
typical menu might include porridge or cereal in the
morning, soup and sandwiches at lunchtime, chicken and
mushroom pie served with spring cabbage in the evening
and fruit flan with cream for dessert. Residents can
choose to dine in the home’s traditional dining rooms or
in their own rooms if they prefer. We also serve tea or
coffee mid-morning and mid-afternoon, and drinks in the
evening – and we cater for all tastes and diets.
Interesting daily activitiesAt Hill View, our activities organiser ensures there’s
always something enjoyable to do – everything from arts
and crafts, to film show afternoons, bingo and gentle
exercise. Residents have plenty of opportunity to
pursue hobbies and interests. We have a hairdressing
salon on-site with a hairdresser who visits twice a week.
Local entertainers such as singers and musicians visit the
home regularly. We also arrange trips to local places of
interest, such as walks along the canal and regular visits
to churches of all denominations.
Types of stayAt Hill View, we offer several types of stay depending on
the level of support required – we provide long- term
care for those who need daily nursing perhaps due to
age or an on-going medical condition, respite care to
enable carers to take a much deserved break and
convalescent or post-operative care for residents
recovering from an accident, illness or operation. We
also offer nursing care for residents with all levels of
confusion, mainly with an Alzheimer’s diagnosis and
other dementia related conditions.
Bupa’s commitmentAt Bupa, we believe in the highest standards of care and
comfort, provided in a way that is personal to every
resident. We aim to achieve this by employing
dedicated, well-trained staff and providing comfortable,
homely surroundings. Bupa is a health and care
company that does not have any shareholders. As a
result, it can reinvest all of its profits into the business
and focus on its customers.
