Review the central truth, the memory verse, prayer and confessions, and read the Bible Story with scripture references indicated under the power outlets. As this is done each day, let your child color in or put a sticker on the power outlet located on the back of the devotional. At the end of the week please sign as proof of completion and return to the teacher. Children who complete 3 weeks Power Cords in a month will have their picture posted in the foyer of Power Source.

God, the Holy Spirit, raised Christ from the dead, and now lives in us forever when we become Christians.

John 14:16, “I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever.”

Jesus is the One who forgives our sins and washes us white as snow with His precious blood. But it is the Holy Spirit who comes to live on the inside of believers. This is one of Holy Spirit’s biggest jobs as God. When Jesus rose from the grave, He walked around with His disciples. After 40 days, He was taken up to Heaven. Jesus’ work on earth was finished. He told the people that His Father would send another One to help them. That was the Holy Spirit. While Jesus was on earth He lived in a human body and could only be in one place at a time. But Holy Spirit can be everywhere at once. Like God the Father, He is invisible to us. That’s how He can live in you and kids on the other side of the world at the same time. It is Holy Spirit who speaks to people’s hearts and makes them want to know God. He is the One who speaks to you and guides you daily. He is also called Comforter. When you’re facing hard things in life, Holy Spirit is right there to comfort and guide you. Two of the symbols used to explain the power of Holy Spirit are fire and wind. Both of these came upon the disciples on the Day of Pentecost when they were all filled with Holy Spirit and boldness.

I am a witness of God’s word. Luke 24:48

The Holy Spirit will fill, guide and empower me to serve Him. Hebrews 8:1

The Holy Spirit will reveal more to me about Jesus. John 16:14

Father God,Thank you for loving me and taking care of me. Bless my church, Pastor Ron and his family. Bless my teachers for teaching me Your Word. I believe your love is flowing through me to other people. Help me to obey my parents so things will go well with me and I will live a long life on the earth. I will tell how great You are and how much I love You. I thank You that by Jesus’ stripes I am healed.

In Jesus’ name,Amen
