ABOUT THE COLLEGE

Narmada College of Computer Application was started in the

year 1999. The MCA Programme at the college is approved by

AICTE, New Delhi. The college was earlier affiliated with Veer

Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU), Surat and is now

affiliated with Gujarat Technological University (GTU),

Ahmedabad. This is one of the oldest colleges in South Gujarat region and is

managed by Narmada Education & Scientific Research Society, which is a trust

promoted by GNFC, Bharuch.

GTU RESULT 6th SEMESTER

The first batch of GTU passed-out in 2012. Our GTU 6th semester

June 2012 results were outstanding. We had 100% results for

MCA and 1st rank accordingly. Also, we secured 5th rank in

Institute wise SPI result among all the MCA colleges of GTU.

Kapil S. Savaliya, the student of NCCA 6th

semester, secured 6th rank among the top 10

students in Gujarat Technological University

(GTU), Ahmedabad.

SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ON I-PHONE

Chintan Patel and Tosef Khilji,

students of MCA 6th semester have

developed the Blood Sugar level

tracker for Diabetics patients in I-

Phone application software.

Their appropriate reasoning and logical thinking has become an

inspiration to the other students and help for diabetic patients.

VISIT OF H’BLE GOVERNOR OF NAMIBIA

Ms. Laura McLeod, the

Honourable Governor of

Namibia, visited Narmada

Education Campus. She

spent some time at

Narmada College of

Computer Application too.

She was accompanied by a

high level delegation

consisting of industrialists

and ministers.

specifically about the MCA

curriculum and rich

infrastructure of NCCA.

BOOK PUBLICATION

Dr. Jatinderkumar. R. Saini (I/C Director and Associate Professor

at Narmada College of Computer Application, Bharuch), Mr.

Vikas S. Chomal (Assistant Professor (Adhoc) at Narmada

College of Computer Application, Bharuch) and Yatin K. Solanki

(Assistant Professor at Dolat-Usha Institute of Applied Sciences,

Valsad) have authored a book on “Fundamentals of Software

Engineering”. The book with ISBN 978-93-81-222-64-5 has been

published by New Popular Prakashan, Surat in June 2012. The

book is designed for the students of S.Y. (B.C.A.), B.SC. (IT & CS),

PGDCA, BE (IT&CS) and Diploma Courses of Engineering

Programs of various Universities.

INDUSTRY DEFINED PROJECT

NCCA, Bharuch is leading institute imparting formal education

in computers in technical field. Along with the class room

teaching the students are advised to take industrial experience by

interacting with industrial people to know their problems and

help them to sort out the solution of their IDP problems.

Generally the final year’s students are allowed to visit industry to

carry out their project of their interest as a part of the “Shodh

Yatra” as guided by the GTU innovation Council to produce

quality and real-life projects in technical education by identifying

the problem in various areas of industry.

UDISHA Club members at NCCA coordinated shodh-yatras

during the month of June-July-2012 by visiting different

industries. The students underwent the training programme to

study the problems at industries. The out come of the “Shodh

Yatra” conducted with a lot of momentum was students coming

out with industrial projects. The students will carry out these

projects in collaboration with industries. The students of NCCA

learn the actual problems faced by the industry and also the type

of man power required for the industries.

BLOOD DONATION CAMP

As part of social activities, Blood Donation Camp was organized

at Narmada Education Campus with support of Rotary Club of

Bharuch and in coordination with Redcross Society, Bharuch on

18th July 2012 in the laboratory of Narmada College of

Science and Commerce (NCSC). From NCCA, 16 students (15

boys and 1 girl) and 1 faculty member have donated the blood.

Shri. Shailesh V. Shah (Librarian, NCCA) coordinated the event

and was also given appreciation letter by the Rotary Club of

Bharuch.

FAREWELL

The 11th farewell of outgoing students of MCA – 6th semester

organized on July 30th, 2012 was soulful and inspirational. The

event commenced with Vedic invocation and lighting of the lamp

along with various stirring performances given by the students.

Also, gifts and certificates were handed over to the students for

addressed them and urged them to give support to the junior

students in Training and Job Placements in their companies. He

added that NCCA is also working towards strengthening the Alumni

Students Council. So, we can meet in future also. After the

performances were over, there was dinner and function was windup

with the DJ.
