Tour the Humble Administrator’s Garden. This UNESCO World Heritage site, built during the Shaoxing period (1131-1162) is one of the most famous gardens in the city. Visit the I. M. Pei Museum. Designed by the Chinese-American architect, it houses ancient Chinese art, painting, calligraphy and handmade crafts of the region. Enjoy lunch at the Song He Lou Restaurant. Established in 1979 it is the most time-honored and famous restaurant serving authentic Suzhou cuisine. (l) Following lunch relax and meander the Lingering Garden, another UNESCO site featuring halls of the Qing period. Lastly, take a small canal boat ride to the Tiger gardens to enjoy the Bonsai Collection and Museum. The seven-story Yunyan Pagoda is also a treat.
