• The IES Leonardo da Vinci is located in Las Aguilas quarter (district of La
Latina) in Madrid
• For 34 years we have been dedicated to training professionals
• During 2013/14 the number of students is around 1000 divided in 35
groups belonging to six professional families
• The number of teachers this academic year is 63

• Internship in a company is mandatory in Higher Vocational studies
• It involves performing tasks in a real work environment
Purposes
• Acquire the professional skills they require while applying everything
they have learned at our school in the field
• Develop professional maturity for future learning
• Facilitate adaptation to changes and encourage innovation
• Evaluate and prove a professional attitude when facing real work
situations

Erasmus Program Students undergo 9’5 weeks of
internship in a company
The company
welcomes students in training
(from March to June)
Educational centre

Students are insured
against accidents and civil
liability
• They need to complete the academic courses at the school before
engaging this training period
• Trainees are in all cases of legal age
• Every academic year some of our students are granted by Erasmus
Programme and can perform this training in an European company
• During training students are covered by health and civil liability
insurances
Access to training in companies
• It includes formative-productive activities that the student have to perform during the training period at the company
• It helps acquiring the professional competence
• This program will be agreed between the school tutor and the person in charge of the company
Formative program
•The agreement will be signed both by the Principal of the school and by the legal representative of the company, with the approval of the representative of the Education Council of Madrid

•Guide the student through the formative program and the characteristics of the company
• Introduce the student in the company
•Assess the outcome of the activities included in the formative program
•Monitoring students behavior in the company
•Pedagogical coordination with the company tutor
