High Street Phoenix jazzes it up at AWESTRUNG on the 26th January 2018 ~ Indian Jazz Ambassador Joe Alvares curates the Music Line Up~

Mumbai, 18th January 2018: This Republic Day, head to High Street Phoenix and begin your long weekend with enigmatic performances by music Connoisseurs of Jazz only at High Street Phoenix. This month, AWESTRUNG will host Jazz Music curated by Indian Jazz Ambassador Joe Alvares, who will be joined by The Indian All Stars along with other supreme talents such as Vasudhara Vee, Karim and the Jazz Flight Quartet and The Christos Yerolatsitis Jazz Quartet. The concert will begin with the sensational Vasundhara Vee a modern Jazz Diva who will perform with her own collection of young and super talented musicians. Her vocal dexterity and finesse have been acknowledged with hushed awe. She sets the pace for an evening of escalating experience. She will be followed by the enticing performance of Karim and the Jazz Flight Quartet. Led by the phenomenal Sudanese pianist, Karim Ellaboudi, who was originally raised in London, with an active performance track record of a musical career in London, Manchester and Leeds. He will be accompanied by U.S. Bassist Berklee, Graduate/ Fullbright Scholar Dee Wood, Hungarian Drum star Aron, and the stunning Julia Werner from Amsterdam on vocals. Look out for the Latin/ Swing segment in their feature. Third in concert will feature The Christos Yerolatsitis Jazz Quartet, a collection of highly acclaimed Jazz musicians from various parts of Europe, fronted on vocals by a lovely Latvian singer Ronja Burve, led by Christos Yerolatsitis the renowned jazz pianist from Cyprus. They will take you through a sparkle of Jazz standards interpreted in their own indomitable way. The closing act features Indian Jazz Ambassador CBS artist vocalist Joe Alvares along with the Indian All Stars. Comprising of powerhouse performers- Gino Banks on Drums, Bass Bomber Sheldon D’Silva, piano genius Max aka Harmeet Manseta and producer/ arranger keyboardist Tubby. They will be presenting all original compositions by Joe Alvares for the first time in India, a repertoire that created a sensation on their recent tour to Mexico, Columbia and Jakarta. This music will have colours of Jazz, Rock, Blues, Funk and R/B.
