amenities & ConveniencesThere are certain amenities and conveniences that are common among all residence halls.

■■ One Resident Assistant (RA) lives on each floor ■■ Study lounges are available on every floor■■ Wireless Internet is accessible everywhere on campus and all rooms

Educational investment

At HPU campus life empowers students by helping them to create a strong sense of self, both in the classroom and in the residential environment. All students who are not seniors and who do not live with their parents are required to live on campus. The Office of Student Life’s door is always open to our students when there are concerns or issues that need positive resolution.

residence hallsTraditionally, there are eleven residence halls that are used to accommodate new students:

residence hall assignment: Once students submit their enrollment deposit, they will complete the required New Student Housing Form. The Student Housing Form will be available to you through your MyHPU account.

Gender: Co-ed, Media Fellows Living Learning Community

occupancy: Suite-style, each suite has an entrance from an outside balcony-walkway, four bedrooms, a lounge area and a shared bathroom. Two students share each bedroom, making a total of eight students sharing a bathroom with two toilets, two showers and two sinks

Features: Carpet, twin beds (bunkable, standard twin size), built-in desks, wall racks & closets

amenities: Convenient parking, 24-hour quiet dorm, 100 percent wireless, mini-blinds on all windows, ceiling fans, completely furnished, cable TV outlets, free laundry for residents, air conditioned with individual thermostats

occupancy: Suite-style double occupancy rooms with two rooms (four students) sharing a bathroom, or suite-style single occupancy rooms with two rooms (two students) sharing a bathroom

Features: Carpet, modern furniture with full size beds and built-in shelves, reading light and power supply, desks with bookshelf and printer stand, mirrored armoires for hanging clothes and storage, a media chest (which can hold a TV up to 42 inches wide), chest of drawers and a coat closet. Each bathroom has a granite vanity with two sinks, large vanity mirror, storage space, private restroom, lighted shower and marble tile floors

amenities: Convenient access to all the amenities in the R.G. occupancy: Apartment suites arranged in two, three or four bedroom units with one student to each bedroom. Two and three bedroom apartments have one bathroom. Four bedroom apartments have two bathrooms. Each apartment has a furnished living room and kitchen

Features: Carpet, twin beds (standard twin size), desks & dresser

amenities: Furnished living room with a couch, coffee table, kitchen table and chairs and a linen closet, kitchen with two-burner range top, built-in microwave, full-size refrigerator with icemaker, sink with disposal and generous counter and cabinet space, 100 percent wireless, mini-blinds on all windows, ceiling fans, completely furnished, cable TV outlets, free laundry for residents, air conditioned with individual thermostats

Gender: Co-ed, Honors Scholar Program Residence Hall

occupancy: Apartment suites arranged in two, three or four bedroom units with one student to each bedroom. Two and three bedroom apartments have one bathroom. Four bedroom apartments have two bathrooms. Each apartment has a furnished living room and kitchen

Features: Carpet, twin beds (standard twin size), desks, dresser & closet

amenities: 24-hour quiet dorm, faculty-in-residence, personal study areas, furnished living room with a couch, coffee table, kitchen table and chairs (some units have a linen closet), kitchen with two-burner range top, built-in microwave, full-size refrigerator with icemaker, sink with disposal and generous counter and cabinet space, each floor has two lounges with plasma TVs, trash chute, 100 percent wireless, mini-blinds on all windows, ceiling fans, completely furnished, cable TV outlets, free laundry for residents, air conditioned with individual thermostats

*Only freshmen accepted into the Honors Scholar Program will have the option of living in York Hall. York Hall will not appear on the initial housing application, but honors students will need to fill out this application. A separate Honors Scholar housing application will be available to students at a later time.
