How to Reach the Portal

Go to the following link:

The Welcome Page

Start the Registration

process for new Portal users

Login to the Portal for

existing users

Broadcast messages

for everyone

Registering for a New Account

Click “Register”

Click on the Register Button

Starting from the Welcome Page, just click the Register button to start the process of creating and HHS Enterprise Portal account if you are a new user.

Select the Third Option

I’m an Employee of an External Partner

Organization

Click “Next”

You will be registering as an Employee of an External Partner Organization so always select the third option.

Complete Your Profile

Click to Open

Fill in All Required Fields

Click “Next”

Click to open each section of the profile. You will need to complete the required information indicated in each section.

Select a Username

following the rules to the right

Wait for an Email

• After filling out your profile you will get a message that you should check your email for a message that will give you your temporary password.

• Please Note: Your supervisor must approve the request before you will get the email so wait until you get supervisor approval.

Login w/Your Temporary Password

Enter Username & Temporary

Password from the Email

The email will contain the username you selected and a temporary password. Use this temporary password in the Sign In block and the click “Sign In”

Sign the Computer Use Agreement

Check this box and type your name in the textboxes

You must scroll through the entire agreement

Click “Next”

This is an electronic signature that will store your CUA in our system so you do not have to do the paper form.

Change Your Password

Create a new password by following the

rules to the right

Click “Next”

There are lots of rules you need to follow to change your password but the system will turn each rule Green when you have met that criteria.

Setup your Security Questions

Click “Next”

Answer each Security Question

There are three security questions that will help you recover your password if you happen to forget it.

Review Your Profile

Click “Next”

Review your profile and make any necessary

changes

This is an opportunity for you to review your profile and make any changes you need to.

Agree to the Security Message

Click “Agree”

This message appears for everyone anytime you login to the portal. Click “Agree” and you will be taken to your personal home page.

You are Now Logged In!This is your personal home page now that you are logged into the portal. The specifics of this page will be discussed in the next section.

Logging In

Enter your Username &

Password then click “Sign In”

Enter your Username and Password on the Welcome Page and click “Sign In”.

Your Home Page

Click to get to Case

ConnectionMy Notifications

Self-Service Tasks

Your home page will contain Notifications, Self-Service Tasks and the ability to launch the Case Connection application.

Notifications

Use these links to expand & hide the Notification details

The Notifications will inform you of system-related issues and upgrades as well as any personal notifications needed.

Self-Service Tasks

There are several Self-Service Tasks you can perform

Request/Modify your access

Manage your profile

The self-service tasks are split into two sections, Manage Access and Manage Profile.

Changing Your Password

Change your password using the

rules to the right

This page will give you the ability to change your password. Remember to follow the rules listed to the right.

Changing Your Security Questions

Use this page to change your

security questions

Changing your security questions and answers can be accomplished on this page.

Submitting a Request for New Access

Select “Request New Access”

Under “Manage Access”, select “Request New

Access”

If you want to request access to Case Connection, select “Request New Access” under the Manage Access section.

Select “Case Connection”

Select “Case Connection” from

the list

From the list of available applications, select “Case Connection” using the checkbox.

Review Your Request

More information is required before you

can submit your request. Click on

“Information Required”

This page gives you the opportunity to review your Case Connection access request. More information will always be required so click on that link.

Provide More Information

Enter the PID, Access Code and select your

Security Group

Click “Next”

On this page you will provide your PID, Access Code, and select your security group. Click “Next” to save your information and move on.

Submit Your Request!

Your Status is now Green!

Click “Submit Order”

Now that you have provided your additional Case Connection information, your status will show Green meaning that you are ready to submit your request.

Order Confirmation

You now have an Order Number and Request Number

Return to Your Home Page

This page will show you the confirmation that your request was received and is being processed. Now you’re done!

Submitting a Request for Modified Access

Select “Modify Existing Access”

Under “Manage Access”, select “Modify Existing

Access”

To change your access to Case Connection, select “Modify Existing Access” from the Manage Access list.

Select Modification Type

Select what type of modification you would like to do

You can modify your access, suspend your access or restore your access from this page. Select “Modify Existing Access”.

Select “Case Connection”

Case Connection will be highlighted at

the top of your list

Case Connection will be listed at the top since you already have access. Select Case Connection using the checkmark.

Review Your Request

More information is required to complete

the request

More information will be needed before you can submit your request. Click on the “Information Required” link.

Provide More Information
