Chaphur Rinpoche and the Gyalshen Institute Board of Directors invite you to support the visit of His Holiness the 34th Menri Trizin Rinpoche and spiritual head of Bön tradition, to the West Coast in July, 2019. The visit of His Holiness to the Bay Area is part of the first international tour undertaken since his selection as Abbot of Menri Monastery in 2018.

Gyalshen Institute will be hosting activities and events related to this visit as well as being directly responsible for travel and housing for His Holiness and four attendant monks while they are here. Obviously, this is a wonderful opportunity for Gyalshen Institute sangha to connect with the new Abbot and receive his blessings.

In the desire to offer the greatest respect possible on this historic occasion by providing comfortable accommodations, we are starting now to raise the funds needed to pay hotel and transportation costs. Chaphur Rinpoche is coordinating the arrangements. We estimate that we need to raise a minimum of $25,000 to cover the expenses

We will be sending out updates covering this exciting event over the next few months. Details concerning the the activities being undertaken by His Holiness while here in California are still being worked out, but we know already that the public programs will take place between July 25 to 29, 2019.
