Attention:When packed on pallets under shrink sleeving the reels should not be stored in direct sunlight because heat build up can lead to deformation of the plastic material.

HÄFNER – a standard for quality and precision

Overall width:The overall width of the reels is normally made up of the winding width (L2) plus 2x the flange thickness (s). The total width of the reel can be in-creased by creating hub protrusions in conjunction with smaller bores.

Central bore:As standard the reels have a central bore of 127mm. By using additional inserts other diame-ters can be supplied. The various reasons it has been found to make use central standard e. g. 36 and 56 mm. All bores are fitted with support tube. In addition, all bores can be supplied with Polyamide bush which reduces the wear of the central bore. These bushes can be replaced.

Followers:Holes or pins can be provided on request.

Specials:All reels with a barrel Ø d2 >= 200 can be bolted for additional strength. Only standard dimensions and suggestions can be given in this leaflet, as a number of combination and details are possible. We sug-gest to enclose a drawing with your inquiry which shows position and type of followers and wire start and lead out. The hub from shape can also be in different formats and we welcome your special requirements.

Tolerance:All measures, weights and loads as indicated in this brochure are approximate figures.Tolerances and deviations as customary in this trade reserved.

Reel specification:GM reels have the same dimensions as the VM types. These reels have however no ribs on the outer sur-faces. The outer surface of the flanges are roughe-ned in a star formation and can be used as contact areas for braking.

Materials:ABS (Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene) Colour grey. Other Colours are possible.

Winding width:The winding width as stated in the table are the most cost effective sizes. Smaller and larger winding width can of course be supplied. Smaller widths are achieved by shortening the barrel.
