DKT develops coaxial and optical products for professional broadband operators and solution providers. The company was founded in 1977, and with thirty years of experience in coaxial broadband networks, DKT offers a comprehensive product portfolio, making it a strong partner for broadband operators.

In April 2007 DKT acquired DANLAB Electronics A/S, forming a product range called DKTDANLAB. DANLAB had since 1986 been developing and producing high performance amplifiers for small, medium and large HFC networks. The solid experience gained by DKT and DKTDANLAB is reflected in its products; being characterised by high quality, top performance and easy installation. Following several years of success in commercial FTTH deployments, DKT has used its experience and R&D capabilities to become a significant player in the industry. With the unique background and characteristics of the company, DKT strives to be among the most attractive suppliers in the industry.

DKT’s missionDKT’s mission is to be a strong partner in network products for European broadband operators and solution providers. Based on know-how and natural enthusiasm, good ideas are developed into successful products. This is done together with the customer, who furthermore can appreciate the broad product range, the attractive quality/price level and the unique customised products. DKT’s flexibility and proactive attitude assists in optimizing broadband networks.

IntroductionDKTDANLAB´s modern series of optical nodes for FTTx networks is based on a cost-optimized platform that supports a variety of broadband applications. The platform of optical nodes is built upon industry standards, thereby ensuring that all DKTDANLAB solutions can be integrated with other cable network systems.

OverviewThe product line consists of two different series. Firstly, the AO series, which is a compact and versatile FTTx node with management for two-way transmission. It provides an efficient way to manage and control the roll-out of projects and new services. The all-in-one active element delivers high output levels for distribution or low level output for trunk deployments. Secondly, the OE series, which is a deep fibre FTTC node ideal for multimedia applications. This pushes fibre directly to the curb in densely populated areas. Whilst operating with a low power consumption level, this all-in-one element delivers high output levels for distribution in any broadband HFC network environment.

Both series have a variety of configuration possibilities and can be expanded to meet the future needs of a growing and changing network.

product introduction

All nodes are equipped with special DKTDANLAB cooling fins. These fins are very effective in releasing heat and provide optimal air circula tion. Due to their robust design, the nodes can be installed indoors and outdoors. Simple installation, customization, configuration and system manage ment are the cornerstones of these two models.

Product information

The compact and modular design of the AO 801 models provides an upgradeable, scalable and efficient way to manage and control the roll-out of projects and new services.

The AO 801 models addresses the expanding service and operational needs of operators planning for the challenge of supplying interactive services to a growing number of subscribers. Ideal for multimedia applications, the node can be set to the high gain switch position; pushing fibre deeper into the network to subscribers in densely populated areas.

Transmission to geographically dispersed subscribers is accommodated by simply setting the node to the low gain switch position. This subsequently enables a number of amplifiers to be configured in small cascades, ensuring that all subscribers can be served.

oe 801 series - hfc nodeProduct information

The OE 801 model addresses the expanding service and operational needs of cable operators planning for the challenge of supplying interactive services to a growing number of subscribers. Ideal for multimedia applications, the OE 801 pushes fibre directly to the curb (FTTC) of each subscriber household in densely populated areas.

Whilst operating at a low power consumption level, this all-in-one active element has high system performance with output levels and low noise levels for distribution in any broadband HFC network environment.

The use of standard pads and a limited number of universal accessories simplifies and reduces set-up time. The node can be customised as either a receiver only or as a transmitter / receiver. Housed in a small, weather sealed unit and based on the modular DKTDANLAB platform, the cost of spare parts are lowered, resulting in convenient maintenance and reduction in operational costs. The series excels by having both a competitive price/performance ratio as well as low operating costs.
