    Fighting fres

POLICE in Heswall have been tring to track down the people who have been startingres in elds around the town.

Inspector Steve Hall said: Of concern has been an increase in the number of

incidents whereby young people have been congregating and setting re to litter,

    shrubs and street

    furniture.

This in itself is anti-social behaviour and has a damaging effect on the local

community. It also has other potential consequences when these res are on Whiteld

Common, The Pudddale and in The Dale

Due to the weather, a more serious incident could develop and so I am keen to

identif the perpetrators and deal with them accordingl. We are therefore working withWirral Anti-Social Behaviour Team and Merseside Fire Service in order to deter this

    behaviour.

    More patrols in Lower Heswall

EXTRA police patrols have gone out in Lower Heswall following a string of burglaries in

the area. Ofcers have also given advice on crime prevention and property marking.

    From th Mrsysid Polic wbsit:

l Margaret Robinson, 48, from Barnsdale Avenue, Heswall has appeared before

Wirral Magistrates charged with Drink Driving. She was convicted of the offence,

committed on Grange Mount, Heswall and was ned 130 along with being disqualiedfrom driving for 17 months.

l Michael Peers, 20, from Woodeld Road, Heswall, was arrested and charged with

an offence of Possession of a Class A Drug on Telegraph Road. He appeared before

Arthur Kilpin Bulley (1861-1942) had a Vicorian ethic of
