Hershey, NE small town USA considered a village to many and most people who pass through it. Where the railroad runs straight through and the school sits on main street for all to see, cows and crops surrounds all parts of the townfrom clear north down to the south, and where on Friday and Saturday nights the community comes together to cheer on their Panthers!

3Businesses Make the Community Unique

Hersheys little village has the hometown feel because of all the local businesses, that support the community. Everyone knows everyone and whenever you need a helping hand someone is there to lend theirs with hardly any question.

4Flood Brings Community Together

Flooding occurred in the small town of Hershey on the weekend of September 20th. Waters from the South Platte River began to rise and that is when the community came together with filling sandbags and piling them around the school and all the local buildings. Since the community came together and worked endlessly filling and piling sandbags, minimal damage was done to the community.

1st Hershey..Chocolate Capital of the World

Hershey, Pennsylvania the city of Chocolate is the one place where every avenue, street, and corner has some significant item to do with Hershey Chocolate. The town was named after its founder Milton Hershey, is not only a chocolate destination but a place where tourists go to enjoy the fun activities and education is taught.

My TownHershey, NE may not be the place where chocolate is made but in my town the people come together to help one another out. The small businesses make the town feel more like home and they become the meeting spots for everyone to hear the local gossips; from the birth of the new baby to the sad news of losing one of our own. When you leave and return to our village no matter who you are, the community welcomes you back with open arms like you never left. I am Heather Hutchison from Hershey, small town values, small town working girl, and I AM proud of it.
