Welcome to the HERO Scholarship process!
Mildred Elley and the Albany Police Department have partnered to provide a great educational opportunity to two Albany residents. The Mildred Elley HERO Scholarship will be awarded to two individuals who are residents of the city of Albany, who help others, and are pursuing an education and career to make a positive difference in their community.
The goal is to help support the dream of two residents of the city of Albany who plan to attend Mildred Elley in September of 2020. This financial scholarship will help support their dream.
The selection committee will include: Albany City Police, under the direction of Chief Hawkins, the campus President of Mildred Elley college, members of the Community Outreach Team from Mildred Elley, and other community leaders who are invested in empowering residents to help make positive changes in the city of Albany.
Requirements to be eligible for this scholarship are:
1. Resident of the city of Albany
2. At least 18 years of age
3. Planning to apply to Mildred Elley college, September of 2020
4. Possess High School Diploma or G.E.D
5. Interviewed by the scholarship committee
Once enrolled in Mildred Elley, student must maintain a C average to maintain the scholarship.

Please submit application form, reference letter, and copy of GED / HS Diploma before Tuesday, September 8th, 2020, 5 p.m.
