Voice calls and data messaging are available just as before, however should the radio be placed at an ‘unusual’ angle, the radio will emit a pre- warning. Should the pre-warning not be acknowledged or the angle of the radio is not changed, an emergency alert will be sent to the dispatcher. In addition should the radio be motionless (non-motion detection) or the pre-alert is not acknowledged by the worker, an alert will be sent to the Dispatcher. A ‘hot mic’ facility can be activated as required. To assist the ‘search team’ in the rescue, the radio will emit an audible tone for the duration of the emergency call to ensure the downed employee is found as quickly as possible. The search team will use the audible tone as a 'beacon' to assist in the search process. The hermes Man Down Software can be configured to work in hosted and non-hosted modes. In the hosted mode, the hermes Man Down Software communicates with the hermesTRX GPS tracking solution and displays the location of the downed worker on a digital map. In the non-hosted version the man-down emergency utilizes the standard built in MOTOTRBO emergency configuration and sends the alert to the dispatcher's radio or radio group. * hermes Man Down Software supports both display and non- display MOTOTRBO hand portable radios. The hermes Man Down Software is installed on the MOTOTRBO Generic Option Board* and works ‘silently’ in the background enabling the user to utilize his portable radio as normal. Voice calls and data messaging are available just as before, however should the radio be placed at an ‘unusual’ angle, the radio will emit a pre-warning.

To assist the ‘search team’ in the rescue, the radio will emit an audible tone for the duration of the emergency call to ensure the downed employee is found as quickly

as possible.

* hermes Man Down Software supports both display and non-display MOTOTRBO hand portable radios. The MOTOTRBO Expansion Board: p/n QA01638 must be pre-installed in radio or PMLN5496AS Expansion Service Kit.
