“Ons is so in

Sy was altyd behulp-saam. Ek mis haar geweldig baiewant sy het altyd vir my kom helpwerf skoonmaak en dan het onstwee tog altyd so lekker gesels.”Beukman laat haar pa, twee sus-

ters, eenbroer, vier kinders en eenkleinkind agter.Die begrafnis sal op Saterdag 20

September in Tesselaarsdal plaas-vind.

Gr. 8 en 9klasseword gestaak by Kleinmond PrimêrELBÉ VAN HEERDEN

moetrynie.Diebussewagnetso lank, dus kanhulle nie aannauurse programme deel-neem nie. Daar is baie talentwat so verlore gaan.”FransienaKilanivoelhulle

ple: lower your intake of carbohydrates andsugars and load up on all the good fats. Thismeans less bread, potatoes, pizza and sweets, and foods such as cream, cheese, bacon, eggsand avocadoes can be ‘indulged’ in.As a diabetic himself, Noakes believes that

thescientificdiscovery in theUSAin1977, thata lowfatdietwill reduceheart related illnessesas well diabetes, is all untrue.“For all these yearswe believed that cutting

out fat will secure us a healthier life, and it’sall nonsense. We need the fat, our body needsfat, and most of all, our brain needs fat. It isessential for healthy living. And with that I’mnot saying that youmust cut out your carb in-take completely. Just lower your carbs. It isnot fat that will kill you, it is the high carbsthat will put you at risk.”According to Noakes, no scientific study on

any eating plan can be completely accurate.“Formany years wewere led to believe that

eatingfatwillclotourarteriesandleadtoheart

attacks.Butwewereonlytoldthat, itwasnevera scientific fact. The only way you can provesuch a thing is by putting thousands of peopleinquarantineandput themondifferent eatingplans for over a year’s time and then closelymonitor them.Otherwise therecanbenoaccu-rate evidence onwhether fat is good or bad foryou.”Noakessays thatsomewell-knownSouthAf-

ricanssuchasKobusWiese,formerSouthAfri-can rugby player, and Derek Watts, CarteBlanchepresenter, alsostartedbanting.Kobuslost about 30 kg and Derek about 8 kg.“When Iwas interviewed byDerekWatts on

CarteBlancheonthebantingdiet, hepresentedme with a piece of meat with a fat strip on aplate and asked, how are you supposed to eatthis? So I took the knife, cut off the fat and saidtoDerek, nowyou throw away themeat. Obvi-ously the Heart Foundation and everyone elsewere immediately onmycase formaking sucha statement. But like I say, try it and decidefor yourself.”According to Noakes, carbohydrates don’t

make us full, and are also addictive.“For instance, if you eat two eggs in

themorninginsteadofcereal, youwillbe fuller for longer. Eating carbohy-drates for breakfast will leave you

hungry before lunch time, I promise you. Byeating boiled or scrambled eggs instead, youwon’t feel hungry or crave those in-betweensnacks.”He says that it’s very important to stayaway

from any “fat free” or “low fat” food.“If it’s fat free, it means that it has sugar in

it to make it taste like something. And as youknow, large quantities of sugar is unhealthy.Don’t fool yourselves by thinking if you eat fatfree food that it’s more healthy, because it’sjust the opposite.”Many people argue that banting can be very

expensive, but according to Noakes, the bant-ingdiet doesn’t have to cost youmore thanR30a day. “Many people think you now have toeat lamb chops and steak, but you canalso buyliver, sardines, eggs and even afval, which areall high in protein, for much less.”Onaquestion fromtheaudienceonwhether

a vegetarian diet is healthy or not, because it’stotally the opposite from banting, Noakes an-swered “the only healthy vegetarians I knoware the ones who cheat.”

Municipalmanagers salaries todecreaseJANINE VAN DER RIET

A new Government notice has been pub-lished with regard to the maximum sal-ary notches for officials like municipalmanagers by the minister of Coopera-tive Governance and Traditional Af-fairs (CoGTA), Pravin Gordhan.

This notice determines a revised upperlimit for the remuneration packages appli-cable to senior managers inclusive of mu-nicipal managers at municipalities.

According toa list of all theWesternCapemunicipalities where the salary packagesare set out, it seems that the salaries of 26municipal managers must on average bedecreased with R300 000 per year.

The current annual salary of the Over-strand municipal manager is R1 659 212,according to the list. The new maximumlimit for the OverstrandMM, set by the na-tional departement, is R1 191 500.

This salary paid to the OM municipalmanager at present, is the second highestpaid salary for municipal managers in theWestern Cape.

GeorgeMunicipality is taking the salaryleadwith R1 680 692 annually, with the newmaximum limitation of R 1 449 390 annual-ly.

Anton Bredell MEC: Local Government,Environmental Affairs and DevelopmentPlanning said to the Hermanus Times onTuesday, thenoticedoesprovide for transi-tional provisions which, amongst others, state that the salaries in the notice do notaffect the validity of an existing employ-ment contract of a senior manager.

“Therefore, with regard to what is to bedone, one cannot reduce current packagesas thatwouldvery likelybe–amongstotherthings – a breach of contractual law. Thecurrent levels of remuneration may there-fore remain in place.”

Minister Bredell agrees that salariesneed to be regulated but says he is alsoaware that the current notice has practicalimplementation challenges and thesemusturgently be addressed.

The minister is still consulting with thenational department and other stakehold-ers on the issue.

The provisions of the Notice became ef-fective as of 1 July 2014.

) In the Overstrand Municipality’s ope-rating budgets for 2014/2015, salaries weredecreased with R564 968, while provisionwas made for another decrease, more thanR3.5 M in the years 2015-16 and 2016-17.

According to the budget report, the de-crease amount will be generated by vacan-cies not filled.

Savings of R62 435 is shown on the sala-ries of municipal managers and directors, with more savings to come in the next twofinancial years.

Is hierdie alles feit of flater?Of jy jou skaar by dié wat saamstem of

Costs of building materi-als do differWith reference to the “Just asking” letter inthe Hermanus Times of 4 September:

Firstly the writer shares no facts and isclearly oblivious to the fact that along thecoast and inland building materials differ asdo theirpricing. This letternotonlyquestionsthe integrity of building material suppliers inthe area but also quantity surveyors, estima-tors and contractors alike, and their abilityor inability to procure material cost effective-ly.

The fact that the writer quotes that a rollof dampproof in Hermanus costs R1 500 andin Johannesburg costs R500, is a clear indica-tion they have no idea of building materialand the difference in building practice be-tween inland and coastal areas and materialused and why. The cost of building along thecoast has and will always be more expensiveas a result of our extreme climate difference.Material and building practice required to ac-commodate for that, naturally comes at ahigher cost. With regards to the window anddoor scenario we have a local Cape-based na-tionalwindowanddoorsupplierthathasvari-ous quality and thickness ranges availableand even certain cheaper ranges not availablefor re-sale along the coast, hence the abilityto adjust their pricing accordingly to accom-modate the writer. If low cost housing andbuilding practice is what the writer is accus-tomed to, I suggest they relocate their opera-tion to areas suited for that. We are availableto assist with any building advice or buildingmaterial pricing related queries and will en-sure that you receive the right product at theright price for the right application.

Weereens,

Shocking facts regardingAfrican Bank sagaThank you for publishing the letter of JJBreitenbach last week, “Stay alert people”

I was alerted to the following shocking fact:My Money Market account had been plun-

dered, reduced, without any consultation orconsent, to keep a sinking ship afloat. Thiscalled ABIL (African Bank to most). I havebeenusingtheaccount for thecorrectpurposefor which it has been designed i.e a small sav-ing to cater for emergencies and recently solda vehicle to purchase my camper. The state-ment reflects two deductions, R336 called aunit deduction or a “haircut”. This is appar-ently non returnable and my donation to AB-IL. The other R3 311 an ABIL retention fundcalled a “side pocket”. Apparently but notguaranteed, this could be refunded with inter-est in February 2015. Once again, those of uswho save (as we are requested to do) and thoseof us who have deprived ourselves of extrava-gances have been targeted. I never saw Afri-can Bank as a viable business model and haveselectedwhatIconsiderstable institutionsformy funds.

I must ask what action is being taken to holdofficials accountable. The CEO’s monumentto self indulgence stands proud on an outcropat Pringle Bay. If the “side pocket” is goingto be repaid why did AB not have sufficientdebt collection to keep the business afloat inthe first place? Are investors expected tostand by and allow funds to be further plun-dered, together with worsening services andincreasing taxes or is there any form of collec-tive action in the pipeline?

Wildhorses in Fisherhavenare anuisance

We have written a letter to the health depart-ment, but have had no response from them, regarding the wild horses in Fisherhavenwhich are a nuisance.

Is nobody taking any actions until an acci-dent wakes up the authorities?

Our letter to the health department readsas follows:

Dear Ms. Erasmus. We have queried some time ago by phone

the problem with the so-called wild horses inFisherhaven.

They are really stray horses and up to tenof them are here on a daily basis, fouling thestreets right up to and onto the R 43, fightingsometimes and damaging private property.

This is not a farming area where manure isproperly managed.

We like to see the horses when they are intheir proper environment. They belong to anarea such as Rooisand and have to be takenand contained there.

We can see a problem with flies and otherpests proliferating if the municipality doesnot remove the horses from Fisherhaven.

Would it be legal to keep horses here in oursuburbs?

Can residents keep horses in Westcliff orin other central wards?

We trust, that you deal with this matter ur-gently.

kop gekeer is.

Ons kan dalk so bietjie links of regsuit wees.

Heavy rains are expected in the Overstrand on Thursday, withup to 40 mm forecast. Cold temperatures can also be expected. The rain will clear up over the weekend, but cooler tempera-tures of 11 °C will be prevalent.

HOSPICE LUCKY DRAW: The OverstrandHospice 600 Club draw took place on Thursday 11 September and Greg Rethman (centre), owner of Midas Earthcote in Hermanus, drew the winning numbers. There are family gatherings, andthen there is Dommisse DayWhen the extended Dommisse family decidesit’s time to reconnect, it is a gathering of note.On Saturday a Dommisse Day was held at

the home of the Malans (Mary Dommisse’sson) in Voëlklip and it was attended by 68 de-scendants and their families.

According to Neil Malan, the Dommissefamily has a long history in Hermanus.Dr Jan Dommisse (born in Piketberg in

1879) retired to Peter Pan in Luyt Street (for-merly Theron Street) in the early 1940s, hand-ing over his Worcester practice to his son

John.Dr John (snr) had a house

called “Suikerbossie” at thattime and later built “Berg enSee”. Both these homes are inVoëlklip.“The family still owns that

house and the descendants areoften seenonVoëlklipBeachorKammabaai,” says Neil.Gathering the family is no

mean feat as they are widespread and plentiful.“At last count Dr Jan is the

forefather of 110 direct de-scendants living as far afield asCanada, Australia, England,Italy and the USA.”

The photo shows the part of the second generation of Dr Jan Dommisse: Chris Malan, DrGeorge Dommisse, Liz Hutton, Adrian Dommisse, Neil Malan and Anne Eadie.

All in all, 68 descendants and their families were at theDommisse Day, hosted at the Malan’s home in Voëlklip onSaturday.

Eastcliff Village Shopping Cen-tre is undergoing quite a fewchanges with regards to a newlandlord, and some of the busi-nesses trading in the centrehave already changed hands.

According to Keith Muirheadfrom the property company Point-Break,who is in theprocess of tak-ing over Eastcliff Centre fromADEK, thetransferhasnotyet tak-en place.“For this reason it will be inap-

propriate for me to comment onanything at this stage.”Greg Altona-de Klerk from

ADEK, the company selling theproperty, also confirmed that thetransfer is not yet official and thattheycannotelaborateat thispoint. In the meantime the gym, Edge

Fitness Club, has been taken overby a new owner, Wessie van derWesthuizen, the carwash is nowowned by David Cooper and willreopen soon, and the bookshop, bookmark, is moving to MainRoad (as reported in last week’sHT).

JAN-HENDRIK COETZER

The carwash at Eastcliff VillageShopping Centre is undergoing afacelift and will soon open underthe new ownership of David Coop-er.Cooper, who had a carwash in

England for almost 40 years, moved to Hermanus 11 years ago,and since then he had beenwatch-ing this business “like ahawk”, hesays. So, when the opportunity came

along, he started negotiating, andproposed many new ideas on howto improve this carwash.“To date I have already spent

about R250 000 on upgrading thepremises. Thewhole floorwas allbits of brick and concrete, which makes itvery difficult to wash the cars properlywithout damaging them.“I ripped out the floor and put in a new

one. I’ve also built a new chemical and oilseparation plant. This insures that the oil

and chemicals get separated so only purewater comes out at the end.”Cooper says he has bought new equip-

ment too, such as the machinery, vacuumcleaners and dryers. New aluminiumwin-dow frames have been fitted as well as a

newgarage door, lighting and a se-curity system. He aims to open thecarwash this month still, “but ifnot on schedule, definitely beforethe Whale Festival”.He intends to operate the car

) Cooperalsoextendedhisbusi-ness footprint to Bot River by be-coming the new owner of theShunting Shed two months ago.He had invested some money

here too and revamped the wholekitchen. “I have built in amassivenewpizza oven, which can take upto 20 pizzas at a time. For the restof the interior and themenu, Iwillkeep it as is for now. We will havelive music and customers can ex-

pect top quality food, service and occasion-al live music with no extra cover charge,”says Cooper.Chef Helen Butler will be the head chef

and will assist with the running of thebusiness.

A court case, initiated by a group of build-ing contractors in the Overstrand, againstthe Minister of Labour and the BuildingIndustry Bargaining Council (Cape ofGood Hope) has finally been concludedwith the dismissal of the case.“The case has been dismissed with costs

awarded to theminister and theBIBC,” ex-plained Arnold Williams, Secretary forBuilding Industry Bargaining Council(Cape ofGoodHope) in the press statementreleased earlier this week.Contractors in the building industry

contested the issue of jurisdiction and the

extension of the Collective Agreement tonon-parties. This related to theMinister ofLabour’s decision to extend theBIBC’s jur-isdiction, as from 1 April 2011, to includeGansbaai, Hangklip, Hermanus, Klein-mond and Stanford. TheMinister later ex-tended theBIBC’sCollectiveAgreement tonon-parties.“Employers within the Overstrand Mu-

nicipality are in breach of the law if theychoose not to comply with the currentBuilding Industry Bargaining Council’semployment conditions as laid out in theIndustry’s Collective Agreement,” added

Williams.During the proceedings, which dragged

on for twoyears, thecourtorder stated thatthe BIBC had the right to take non-compli-ant contractors to arbitration to enforcecompliance.Thecouncilwill thuscontinueto enforce the collective agreement in thearea.“As much as we usually try to avoid liti-

gation, we are pleased that the case hasbeen concluded and that we can continueto ensure that the compliance agreementthat has the Department of Labour’s ap-proval, is enforced.” Williams added.

belastingvoordele wat óf gedurende diespaarperiode, óf na/tydens aftrede vantoepassing is.Onshouvireersdie spesifie-ke belastingvoordele of -implikasies oor, aangesien dit opsigself ’n belangrike ensoms komplekse aspek is om in gedagte tehou tydens aftreebeplanning.Aftreeprodukte word basies in twee ka-

tegorieë verdeel, naamlik dié vóór aftredeen die ná aftrede. Voor-aftredeprodukte

Hierdie produktebestaanuit uittree-an-

Watter aftreeproduk of -voertuig egter

verdiende bydraes optimaal aangewendword.

The Executive Committee (Exco) of the Her-manus Ratepayers Association (HRA) hasbeen concerned that itmaynot bedoingwhatmembers want, and it initiated a survey inJuly to gaugemembers’ attitudes to the levelof service being provided, mostly by the Mu-nicipality,aswellasviewsaboutvariouscur-rent issues facing ratepayers of HermanusAspointedoutbyBobStanway,HRAchair-

man, theresultsonlyapplytotheward3area,the area of the HRA. “They would probablybe very different for other wards.”Thesurveywasadministeredandanalysed

by Doug Parker, who is an HRA Exco mem-ber, as well as being an experienced marketresearcher – and at no cost to the HRA.”AllHRAmembersonemail (some370)were

given the opportunity to participate. A totalof 66 members completed the survey withinthe survey period. Results relating to quality of services:HRAmembers’ responses to the quality of

various (mostly Municipal) services beingprovidedwas overwhelmingly positive, withthe majority of members scoring good to ex-cellent ratings. The top positive-rated services were:1. Cleanliness of the general area2. Activeness of Fernkloof, and3. Maintenance of the cliff path4. Maintenance of infrastructure and5. Beach maintenance. The weakest (top negative-rated) service:1. Management of the Klein River Lagoon2. Standards and aesthetics of the CBD3. Quality of policing4. Quality of Law Enforcement, and5. Quality of HPP services.“The very poor rating of management of

the Klein River Lagoon is probably relatedto the repeated sewerage spills at the ScoutCamp sewerage pump station, associatedhealth hazards and the negative effect ontourism, while the CBD aesthetics ratingwould seem to relate to the serious declinein the quality of shops and businesses in thewest end of the CBD.”“Of considerable significance is that three

of theworst fiveservicesrelatedtothe“crimeprevention/law enforcement” category pro-videdbythreedifferentinstitutionsbeingtheSA Police Service (SAPS), the municipalityand Hermanus Public Protection (HPP), pos-

sibly implying thatbetter institutional co-op-eration and co-ordination in “crime preven-tion/law enforcement”might result in great-er synergy and much better service to thepublic,” said Stanway.Resultsrelatingtolistedcurrentissues:Results showedgeneral agreementwith all

propositions other than the need for a bypassroad, which was by far the most opposed is-sue.There was almost unanimous agreement

that:1. Dogs should have a specific area where

they may be allowed to run free and2. Dogs should be kept on leads in all publicplaces.“There was less overall agreement about

dogs being allowed to run free on the beacheswithin set times, but the resultwasneverthe-less one of agreement.” said Stanway. The survey also showed strong support for

therevitalisationoftheCBDandfairlystrongsupport for pedestrianisation of the MainRoad in the CBD.“Interestingly, therewasalsoafairamount

of support for the proposed Sandbaai Mall.”Other issues raisedNumerous other individual issues were

put forward by members, such as:) Costs for services charged by the Over-

strand Municipality are too high) Only charge for CBD parking in-season

and over long weekends) There is a need for more cycle paths) Control CBD architectural standards

and try to retain fishing village character) Refuse removal and management is ex-

cellent and should be commended) Baboons are a really serious problem.

Besides baboon monitors, the use of baboon-proof bins should be enforced

)Grottowetlandneedstobere-established)Need to investigate and test new technol-

ogies to generate electricity) Opposition to the proposed Mitchell

street development) Enforcement of traffic laws.“In summary, it is quite clear that HRA

members who responded are proud of theirtown and believe it is being pretty well man-aged,” said Stanway, adding that they, theHRA exco, does need to direct its work to trytohelp improve the services that scoredmost

poorly, and to try to help resolve the issuesof most concern to members, namely;

) Klein River estuary management) Crime prevention/law enforcement) Alternatives to the Bypass) Revitalisation of the CBD) A place or places to run dogs.

Maak joueie liplekker sosatiesLISE BEYERS

Sobevindekmyselfbymygunste-ling slaghuis waar ek mooi vra vir’n skaapboud – so ’n tweetand werkbeter as lam vir sosaties. My slagterontbeen hom en ek is huiswaarts.

Ekmoetnetbyvoegdatvarkboud-

PARTMINI-BIKE, PARTMOTORCYCLE:A TOUGH, URBAN EDGE

HondaLaunches2014MSX125QUICKPIC

Manufactured in Thailand, theMSX125 is small enough to be su-premely manageable yet also hasafully-fledgedfeel thankstosomestandard sized motorcycle parts. It is part mini-bike, part motorcy-cle with involving performancematched to confident handlingand styling that combines a senseof fun with a tough, urban edge.

Its well-proven and efficient 125ccfuel-injected engine has been furtherrefined for even greater economyplus smooth torque and power deliv-ery, and also features a motorcycle-style four-speed gearbox and clutch.Complementing the powerplant is acompact chassis that features a stur-dy steel frame, inverted front fork, monoshock rear suspension, hy-draulic disc brakes front and rearand lightweight 12-inch wheelssporting wide, low profile tyres.

Four patents were applied forthrough development of the MSX125,focused around the split structuretank cover and frame, proof of justhow seriously this bike is taken byHonda. Small it may be, but in termsof worldwide sales, brand awarenessand owner satisfaction, its impacthas been large.

Priorities for theMSX125’schassiswere threefold: it needed to providethe base for a practical bike that newriders could use – and park – withease in an urban environment. Butit also needed to be just as useableand enjoyable out of town, and alsoreadily accept a pillion.

A steel mono-backbone frame hasbeen employed. Its rigid, square-sec-tiontubejoinstheheadstockdirectlyto the swingarm pivot plates and ev-ery other part in effect hangs visiblyfrom the frame, greatly contributingto the MSX125’s minimalist look.Specifically tuned vertical/horizon-

tal rigidity and flex in the swingarmpivot and engine hanger plates pro-vides the perfect balance of comfortand confidence.

The new frame structure has alsoenabled efficient storage of PGM-FI-related components and electricalparts inside the tank cover withoutreducing fuel capacity (5,5 litres).Wheelbase is a snug 1200 mm, withrake and trail of 250 and 81 mm andkerb weight of 101,7kg. The MSX125has a low 765 mm seat height makingit very manageable; its size also en-sures that holiday makers are sureto find it easy to load/unload, trans-port and use.

Another aim for the MSX125 wasto provide ‘beyond class’ suspensionquality. The 31 mm USD fork – a firstfor Honda on a 125cc motorcycle – re-duces unsprung weight and thanksto the pistons’ greater pressure-bear-ing area (compared to a standard tel-escopic fork) offers improved damp-ing feel throughout the stroke. The

top and bottom yokes are full-sized,further enhancing handling and rid-er feelwhilealightweightandrobustsingle rear shock operates a simpleand tough H-shape, 50 mm x 25 mmsteel box section swingarm.

Fundamental to the MSX125’sform andfunction are its12-inchcastaluminium wheels, which featurewide 2,5-inch rims. New ‘Y’ shapedspokes not only look great they alsosave weight and the front 120/70-12and 130/70-12 rear tyres also inject adifferent dynamic, both in terms oflooks and performance. Hydraulicdual piston front and single pistonrear brake calipers work front220 mm and rear 190 mm discs.

The MSX125 uses a combined pro-jector headlight – not only does thisfeature give the front of the bike astrong identity and presence, it alsouses a single light source (an HS135W/35Wdouble filamentbulb)rath-er than a pair of bulbs for both highand low beam. Low beam is generat-

ed by the upper projection unit andhigh beam is produced by multi-re-flectorswhichspreadout in its lowersection. A subtle blue light flanks theprojector lens and adds characterand visibility while the bright LEDtaillight melts seamlessly into thebike’s stubby silhouette.

Easy to read for its compact size, the LCD digital dash delivers all theinformation the rider needs – speed-ometer, twin trip meters, fuel gaugeand clock. Resetting the trip metersand clock, or alternation betweenodometer and trip meter is viaswitches either side of the display.

The MSX125’s 125cc two-valve air-cooled engine is based on one of Hon-da’s most well-proven power units;recently employed in the Wave 125i,over 930 000 have been producedsince initial introduction in 2003,and it’s won universal praise overthe last decade for fuel efficiency, ease of use and longevity.

Furtherdevelopmentof theenginefor the MSX125 has resulted in im-proved fuel economy; the engine us-es low-friction technology such as anoffset cylinder and a roller-rockerarm for the valve gear. Reducingcrank inertia has also resulted in im-proved throttle feel and a smoothpower delivery.

Imparting a motorcycle feel to theMSX125, the four-speed gearbox ismanaged via manual clutch and of-fers smooth and consistent gearchanges. The 15T gearbox sprocket,34T final drive sprocket and 12-inchwheels deliver lively around-townresponse plus the ability to travelslowly in a high gear – perfect forthreading easily through tight traf-fic.

Sophisticated PGM-FI guaranteeshighly efficient combustion, andworks in conjunction with both airintake and exhaust to deliver an in-volving experience at the throttle. The air intake connecting tube and

funnel is divided in two, allowing itslength to be optimised for consistenttorque delivery at low and mid rpm.Alarge,3-litreairboxandpanel-type,wet paper filter provide reliable andquietairflow;thefilteritselfhasalifeof 16 000km.

The exhaust pipe features a larger,28,6 mm diameter bore with in-creased 3-litre multi-section mufflervolume,allowingastrongpowerout-put inthemidandupperrpmranges. The muffler itself uses a dual-layerprotector, featuring an inner metalcover that contains heat and a resinouter shield. Improving the efficien-cy of the catalyser has been achievedby placing it in the exhaust pipe it-self; the higher temperature triggersearlieractivationwhileanelongatedtapered shaped section in front of thecatalyser means spent gases strike itevenly.

All in all the MSX125’s enginepacks a perfect blend of punchy roll-on performance with useful, accessi-ble and fun all-round ability. The ef-fort put into reducing internal fric-tion and increasing intake andexhaust efficiency has also produceda highly economical unit.

Colours Available:Suiting its individuality (and that

of its owners) the MSX125 is availa-ble in four paint options:

•Asteroid Black Metallic•Pearl Himalayas White•Pearl Valentine Red•Candy Pisces Blue* All colours now have colour

matched tail section and headlightside cover as well as gold wheels, swing arm pivot bolt and front cali-pers.

The Honda MSX125 is sold stan-dard with:

•Complimentary Rider Trainingcourse through the Honda Academy

•12 Months Free Roadside Assist-ance

•24 Month unlimited km warranty

JeepCherokee Longitude:ooswes, tuisbesHANS HEESE

langs bekendgestel is.

So ook diedubbele stelsel klimaatbeheer watnatuurlik veel meer behels as blotelugversorging.

FOTO: JANHENDRIK COETZER
