Summary: The purpose of this power point so you can gain more knowledge about heredity.
Objective: Given the website students will be able to recognize what gene has been passed from parent to offspring by answering the questions on the powerpoint.
Standard: GLE 0507.4.1 Describe how genetic information is passed from parents to offspring during reproduction.
SPI 0507.4.1 Recognize that information is passed from parent to offspring during reproduction.
Accomplishment: Develop a sense what heredity is and able to recognize what gene is passed down to offspring.
WHAT IS HEREDITY Heredity is a characteristic that is passed
down from parent to offspring during reproduction.
The characteristics does not always show up directly after birth some takes time.
The characteristics does always have to be physical. For example a lioness has two boy cubs one of the cubs could be a natural leader while the other cub could follow until he matures enough to take over his own pride.
