The repertoire will include a masterpiece in the cello literature - the Sonata in F Major of Johannes Brahms for cello and piano, and solo piano music of Frederic Chopin.

What: Cosmos: A Space-time Odyssey When: Saturdays in January at 2:00PM Where: La Sala Grande Summary: Cosmos: A Space-time Odyssey is a 2014 American science documentary television series. The show is a follow-up to the 1980 television series Cosmos: A Personal Voyage, which was presented by Carl Sagan on PBS and is considered a milestone for scientific documentaries. This series was developed to bring back the foundation of science to network television at the height of other scientific-based television series and films.

What: Nova Lecture: “Stephen Singer” When: Wednesday, January 18th at 1:30PM Where: La Sala Grande Summary: “Historic Trials: The Lindbergh Kidnapping Case with Stephen Singer, J.D.” Charles Augustus Lindbergh Jr. was the son of aviator Charles Lindbergh and Anne Morrow Lindbergh, and was abducted from his family home on the evening of March 1, 1932. Over two months later, the body of the 20-month-old toddler was discovered in Hopewell Township, a short distance from the Lindbergh’s' home. A medical examination determined that the cause of death was a massive skull fracture. Join Stephen Singer for an intensive look at this intriguing case.

What: Carl Bernstein: The Lessons of Watergate When: Thursday, January 12th at 10:30AM and 2:00PM Where: La Sala Grande Summary: Few journalists in America’s history have had the impact on their era and their craft as Carl Bernstein. In the early 1970’s, he and Bob Woodward broke the Watergate story for The Washington Post, leading to the eventual resignation of President Richard Nixon and setting up the standard for modern investigative reporting.
