Operation Inasmuch 2014 Wrap-up Saturday, October 11, there were many Baptists from our associa- tion wearing red T-shirts sharing God’s love within our community at various locations. Some folks were building porches for the elderly and/or handicapped, some were bagging hygiene bags to give to our area’s homeless, some were giving quarters to folks at laundromats to help with their expenses, some were helping folks with the price of their gasoline at gas stations, and some were assisting with the price of groceries. And there was another group that prepared lunches for the crews at the construction and repair sites. MANY thanks to Sheila Adams, member of McCabe Memorial, for her leadership and enthusiasm. Many weeks were spent meeting and preparing for this ministry. And many thanks to our churches that shared in this mission together: Axton; Chatham Heights; Collinsville, First; Fieldale; Martinsville, First; McCabe Memorial; Oak Level; Ridgeway, First; Starling Avenue; Trinity; Villa Heights. Hopefully, this day encouraged us all to continue sharing God’s love in our community all year long. Be on the lookout next year for the spring or fall date for OIAM 2015.
