Help Desk/Level 1 Support Specialist (Phillipsburg, NJ) Job Description: Help Desk/Level 1 Support Specialist (Phillipsburg, NJ) Overview: Jewell Computing Solutions, located in Phillipsburg, NJ, is seeking an experienced and motivated Help Desk Support Specialist to join its staff. We are a Managed Services Provider supporting a mix of small and medium sized businesses throughout Northern New Jersey and the Lehigh Valley area. Our Help Desk Support team members are responsible for supporting both Level 1 and 2 Server, Desktop and Network Support issues as they arise. This position involves significant client interfacing and requires excellent verbal and written communication, strong organizational, multi-tasking and relationship skills. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years' experience with a technology reseller / vendor or systems integrator supporting Microsoft Applications as well as a few more popular applications like Adobe, Chrome, etc. The focus is supporting / maintaining Managed Services Clients while displaying and demonstrating technical skills through the support process to gain the welcomed result of our clients. The required support along with the ability to learn and support third party applications includes but is not limited to: Server, Desktop and Network Support: o Server, PC and some Apple Hardware o Windows OS and some Apple OS End-user application support: o Microsoft applications o Client line of business (LOB) applications Remote Administration: o Setup end user remote access such as: Remote Desktop Services, Citrix, SonicWALL, etc. Server support calls and troubleshooting: o Network account administration: Account setup, login, password administration and policies, etc. Maintain user accounts across production servers o Data Protection Plan Backup Administration: Manage backup solutions through our portal and work with our NOC members Maintain and test backup and disaster recovery solutions Restore files as requested by clients Mobile Device Support: o Apple IOS, Android, Windows Mobile, Blackberry This is a permanent, full-time position. All candidates MUST be local to our main office in Phillipsburg and willing to travel to within our support footprint when necessary.
