This year EDISON Group has paid gratitude to the employees who have completed more than 5 years of service. This joyful event was held in Hotel Amari Dhaka on 30th July, 2015 in presence of our top management members. Total 82 employees were awarded for their accomplishment and special recognition was given to our Honorable Chairman, Mr. Aminur Rashid, Managing Director, Mr. Jakaria Shahid, Senior Director, Mr. Rezwanul Haque and Director, Mr. Ahmed Pasha. The program ended with a dazzling performance from the members of the EDISON Cultural Club (ECC).

The most awaited handset Helio S1 has been launched successfully. For the first time we offered pre booking facility. 1000 handsets were given for pre-booking with an offer of FREE Selfie Stick with each one. The launch event was held at Jamuna Future Park on August 24th, 2015 in presence of top officials of EDISON Group.

As part of our “Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)” activity, EDISON Group has recently handed over 1250 pieces of white canes to ‘National Society of the Blind and Partially Sighted (NSBP)’ for free. Statistics shows that there are 1.4 million blind and partially sighted people in Bangladesh. Edison Group has always been giving support to the underprivileged of the society.

The Handover ceremony was held in our corporate office in presence of our Honorable Managing Director, Mr. Jakaria Shahid and other top management members.

ZVI, the flagship handset from the house of Symphony has been launched in July in one of the Priority Outlets of Symphony in Police Plaza Concord. Since its launch, the handset has

garnered very good response from the users.

WEDDING MOMENTS

As part of the Team Building Program, we had arranged a Selfie contest under the tagline “We are a Team”. The main objective was to develop bonding among the employees. During the contest around 42 selfie photos from different divisions were submitted. Among the 42 photos, the jury board picked top three photos. The participation of the employees was really enthusiastic. Team Bashundhara City Customer Care won the first position.

Symphony’s 44th Customer Care Center, Symphony Smile, has opened in Dhanmondi on 9th July, 2015. The Customer Care Center was inaugurated by Mr. S.M Morshed-Uz-Zaman, Head of Service, Edison Group. Head of Customer Service Operation, Mr. Razibul Huq, other high officials of Edison Group, dealers and retailers of the respective region were also present during the inaugural ceremony. The newly opened Symphony Smile is located at Siddique Mansion (2nd floor), 15/G/1, Zigatola, Dhanmondi, Dhaka.

Symphony participated in the Smartphone and TAB Expo- 2015 held in Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) on August 13th to 15th, 2015. Participation of leading Smartphone companies of Bangladesh made the Exposition successful. Symphony got huge response from the customers as around 327 sets were sold during the Exposition.

Mr. Nuruzzaman is a committed professional with over 8 years of experience in the field of Costing, Sourcing of accessories of footwear, Leather bags & Leather goods. He is an expert in cost analysis & minimizing the cost of the product, preparing production plan & assuring quality of the product. During his long and magnificent career he has had exposure with reputed companies like Bay Footwear Ltd., Super Protective Shoes (Pvt.) Ltd. & Bengal Shoe Industries Ltd. He has completed his MBA in International Business from University of Dhaka.

• Born in Michigan in 1973, Larry Page earned Phd in Computer Engineering from Stanford University.• Coming from a home where both his parents were working in the field of computer science, their home used to be filled with all sorts of gadgets, computers and science magazines. He eventually became the first child in his elementary school to submit an assignment in a word-processed form. Dear EDISON Family,

We are jubilant to publish this year’s last EDISON BUZZ edition. It has been a momentous quarter for us considering both business and employee engagement perspective.

Shaving daily is a must. If you want to keep a moustache or beard, it should be neat and well-trimmed.

Your hairstyle should reflect your personality and should be kept groomed and, of course, clean at all times.

When it comes to wearing a fragrance, always remember… a little dab is just enough. Use deodorant/Anti perspirant.

Darker suits carry more authority; the most powerful colors are dark blue, grey and black. Always wear an ironed shirt, even if the shirt claims to be "wash and wear."

Shoes should be well polished and in good condition. It’s always better that your socks are of same color as the trousers. They should be long enough so that skin is not seen when legs are crossed.

Makeup should be subtle - down to a minimum. Wear long lasting make-up.

Keep your nails clean and polished. Lipstick shades to be worn at work should be light in color.

Pick the Right perfume: Ideally, perfume is never to be worn at work. Whilst selecting cologne, opt for the one that smells fresh nothing too heavy in aroma.

If you have long hair, never keep it untied, pull it back from your face and tie it up in a French roll. Hair should preferably be styled and cut to shoulder length, or shorter.

For business wear, shoe/boots/heel styles must be closed-toe and closed-heel. Open toed shoes are acceptable if they have a business look. Heel height should not be too high or low. 2 inch heel is ideal.
