3) Minutes from the last meeting 26th July 2016 – Accepted. SW Proposed, AS Seconded

4) Actions arising from the previous meeting

Quotations for the Village HallSW informed the councillors that over the summer contractors had been to quote for repairs/refurbishment of the Village Hall and Playground which had now been submitted to Pam Sinclair of Mid Durham APP who is now preparing a funding application which will be submitted to the County Councillors for consideration.

5) Business Items

DCC - Public Consultation - Implementation of a Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) for dog control Steve Ragg informed the council of the Consultation taking place for dog control, and asked council members to complete the online survey. SW noted that the playground at East Hedleyhope was not DCC controlled and it was agreed that JB would contact DCC to find out how to go about having it registered so if the consultation was to go ahead it would be covered by the Public Space Protection Order.

6) Andy Coulthard from the Mid Durham AAP gave an overview of DCC Budget Proposals and asked Parish Council members to fill in a questionnaire relating to the Council Budget Consultation 2017/2018.Andy Coulthard also mentioned the Village Plan which was put in place 3 years ago and said of the 18 issues that arose 17 had been addressed. Next year they would complete another plan and any outstanding issues would be addressed then.

7) Clerks ReportThe Hedleyhope Council Audit for year end March 2016 was now complete and the Annual Return including the certificate has been approved by Hedleyhope Parish Council. The notice of conclusion has been published and included on the Parish Council’s website.

8) Any other businessCS to contact Kev from Quigley’s regarding fireworks and wood. It was agreed that this year the Parish Council would sell hot dogs in buns (P.E-R to source), (JB to contact Greggs) and for S.W. to contact D. Appleby regarding the broth and the music. Katie Ross will make cakes to sell and all donations will go towards the Parish Councils expenses for the Bonfire Night display.
